I should figure out if I'm titling the chapters individually or as a group, and if it is as a group, I need a better title damnit.

Chapter 5

MC woke up to hear Kirk quietly talking to someone at the door of his room. Whoever was talking was muffled, he could only just barely hear Kirk.

“He appeared here, I gave him a bed.” Whoever he was talking to said something, causing Kirk to shake his head. “You are being obtuse on purpose. No, a separate bed, of course.” Kirk paused for a moment, listening to the person. “What? Do you really think he...oh never mind we can talk later, I'm sure if he wasn't awake, he is now.” Kirk sighed quietly before closing the door, turning into the room. Kirk frowned as he saw MC staring at him before MC rolled onto his back, staring at the ceiling.

“I heard nothing at all.” MC said, sure he sounded incredibly confident. Kirk sighed. “How much did you hear?”

“I don't know, why don't you tell me all of it, and I'll tell you what I heard.” MC said solemnly. “It doesn't matter. Apparently, we're where the spacecraft should be housed. Pakratt wants to talk about what we're all doing to get hold of the ship. I'm sure Etho is off dancing around happily.”

MC pursed his lips, pouting over the fact Kirk wouldn't tell him what he was talking about. The two of them made it through the winding hallway, finding themselves once again in the kitchen/dining room. Etho was already there, drooling over the blueprints for the ship. Pakratt seemed to be busy fixing breakfast. Or maybe lunch, MC wasn't sure what time it was anymore.

“Good of you two to finally show up. We were worried you had gotten busy.” Etho said drolly without looking up from the blueprints. MC gaped and blushed, trying to find a good retort.

“Ignore him MC. Just get something to eat.” Kirk said with a sigh as he grabbed some toast. “So, what's the plan, Pakratt?” He said, eating the toast. He frowned at the toast before smearing some kind of jelly on it. He went to eat it again, but as he slowly swallowed the second bite, he closed his eyes briefly before handing the toast over the Etho. “I don't want to know why you have jellied nitroglycerin here.”

Etho grabbed the toast, scarfing it down. “Because it tastes good on toast.” He said, waving two arms dismissively at Kirk. “Pakratt, I don't see how we're getting passed the front gate security.” Etho said, pointing at the building blueprints he had dug out from the pile of papers.

“Ah yes. Good point. Right, so. We have a person on the inside. He owes a favour. When we get there, I give the signal, and boom, he lights stuff on fire. Should be distracting enough to let us get inside. If not, Kirk gets to give an impromptu concert, I suppose.” Kirk grinned, nodding. “Etho, you know what you're suppose to do. MC, just follow me, don't touch anything. Especially if Etho tells you to touch something. Just don't.” Etho pouted, crossing two of his arms across his chest while another one flipped Pakratt off. Pakratt rolled his eyes, shrugging.

They all piled into the larger shuttlecraft, slowly making their descent. MC looked out the windows, ogling the glimmering spacedock. Large ships of every make and model lined the place. Huge towering yellow ships, tiny pink corvettes, ephemeral blue ships that looked like clouds. One ship caught his eye. Sleek and silver, it glistened with gun ports and antennas. Etho tapped him on the shoulder, pointing at the ship he was staring at. “Good eye, that's the one we're after.” Etho sighed happily, almost cooing at the ship. “Who's a pretty ship of mass destruction, you areee...” Kirk started to giggle, before catching himself when Etho glared at him.

The ship landed, docking at in a small visitors spot. “Ok, just act natural.” Pakratt said as they piled out of the craft. MC swallowed nervously. Pakratt sidled up to the guard booth, smiling easily. “Hey there mate, here to meet someone important about building a customized ship. Mind letting us through?”

The guard bot looked at him, frowning. “Papers?” it said in a shrill, metallic voice. Pakratt smiled, handing it a few papers. “Sir, these papers are decades old. I'm sorry, we can't let you through.” Pakratt's smile faltered as he stepped away, turning towards the group. “Ah, one moment. I should have the papers around here somewhere...” he said as he pulled a small button from his jacket. “Didn't want to use Torchbane so soon, but hopefully the guard will leave...” he said, mumbling.

MC inhaled deeply, making his way towards the guard. “Hi. I'm here with the Guide. They are here to help me make informed decisions on exactly how I should word the entry about your spacedock. Wouldn't want a bad word about it, now would we?” He said, shaking slightly, but staring at the bot as he opened his Guide, showing his credentials. The bot blinked, looking nervous.

“Of course we wouldn't, sir. Have a good time. Remember to write how we have excellent guards!” he said as he opened the gate. The four of them walked into the facility. Once they were out of ear range of the guard, Pakratt patted MC on the back. “Brilliant!” MC blushed, hanging his head. “Tthanks, nice of you to say.” Etho grinned at him, smiling. “Little hitchhiker is smarter then I thought.” MC blushed more, trying to not look too embarrassed.

Etho almost had to be dragged away from the other ships they passed as he tried to caress all of them. After much dawdling, they looked up to find themselves next to their prey. It towered over them, looking even more impressive up close. Etho gave out a squeel of delight, almost running at it before Kirk and Pakratt grabbed him. “Etho, stop! Look, guards.” Pakratt whispered as they dragged him back. Etho whined before crossing all four arms across his chest.

“Fine. Call your friend, I wanna get into the wiring of the ship.” Pakratt laughed softly, pressing the button. A few tense moments passed before a shattering explosion rocked the dock. Fire started pouring out of one of the larger ships, causing general panic and mayhem. The guards protecting the ship quickly abandoned their post as they went to help put out the fires.

“Excellent. Let's go...?” Pakratt trailed off with a sigh as Etho raced towards the ship, prying open the door, disappearing inside the craft. The other three charged towards the craft, pulling the door shut behind them. They nearly ran into Etho, who was standing in awe. “Etho, don't you need to do wiring things...?” Pakratt said with a gentle nudge. Etho snapped out of his reverie, giggle inanely as he pulled out the blueprints, heading towards the engines.

“Ok, so we need to get to the control room and wait for Etho to give the signal. Also, look for a button that says something like...acquisition or some such.” Pakratt said, dragging MC and Kirk with him.

MC tried to keep up with the other two as they made their way through the ship, but he saw why Etho had been ogling the blueprints so much. This seemed like some very wealthy idiot had designed it. Electronic panels blended into the walls, glowing lines and readouts covering the ceilings. Odd sayings covered the walls, while heavy carpets of red and gold covered the floor.

“Uhm, Pakratt, who requested this ship...?” MC asked nervously as they found themselves in the control room. “My doppleganger. He's never going to actually show up to take it, so we're just going to put it to good use. Also, the dock would be mad when they find out his money is fake anyway.”

MC frowned slightly. “...couldn't we have just made up credentials showing you as him since you look alike, and gotten in that way?” Pakratt frowned, tilting his head at MC. “Where's the fun in that?” MC tried to think of an answer, before shrugging. He jumped as a screen suddenly unfolded from the ceiling, showing Etho in the engine room. Even the engine room was clean and orderly. Well, perhaps it use to be, Etho had torn up and rewired a lot of it.

“Ok man, we are ready to fly! This baby will run with half a crewmate so even the hitchhiker can pilot it!” Etho said, cackling as he pulled at other wires, causing various alarms to flare and before subsiding. MC frowned, turning away from the screen. The screen flew around until it face MC again. “No pouting! Go push buttons!” he said before the screen went dark, flipping back up onto the ceiling.

“Don't press buttons MC.” Kirk said preemptively. Kirk started to look around the control room, fingers lightly brushing the controls. “Ah, Pakratt? I think I found what we need. Do you have the dock number of your ship?” Pakratt nodded as Kirk pressed the button lightly, causing a screen to appear. Pakratt entered in the dock number of his ship.

“All contents have been transferred, cataloged, organized and cleaned.” A feminine voice state calmly. Pakratt grinned widely, eyes filled with glee. “Oh that's delicious, just wonderful. Thank you ship, you're awesome. I wonder if the ship has a name,” he said, rubbing his chin.

“I have not been given a designation yet, sir,” the ship said politely. Pakratt frowned, shaking his head. “That won't do at all, not at all. We're going to name you Honney. With two n's,” he said, nodding emphatically. “Designation noted. Thank you sir.” “Call me Pakratt or Pak, Honney,” he said, smiling.

“Noted, Pakratt. It appears we are ready for flight. Should I chart a course?” Etho appeared as the ship finished talking. “Yes yes we might want to leave soon. Like now. The alarms are going to go off outside right about...now.”

Pakratt nodded before hitting one of the buttons on the dash. “Onwards then, Honney! Let's get out of here before Torchbane sets fire to this ship also.

The ship lurched forward as the faint sound of alarms rang somewhere nearby. One of the view screens showed several of the guards shouting at the ship as they peeled away from the docks, jumping into deep space.
