Be warned, there is a small amount of friendship fluff in this part. :3
The third person in the room was currently slumped on the ground, but looking up at them. As the light illuminated the figure's face, Nebris nearly dropped his torch in shock.
"I'm really glad t' see you two right about now," the figure said in a warm, all-too-familiar voice.
For a second, MC couldn't breathe. He must have been dreaming; what he was seeing didn't make sense. But sure enough, sitting in front of him was none other than Pakratt, the Pakratt he knew. There was no trace of malice in his face.
"Pakratt!" MC exclaimed happily. "You're okay! Nebs and I were so worried!"
"Yes, I'm okay," Pakratt muttered, voice muffled by MC's orange jacket. The collector coughed awkwardly, not really used to such sudden and extended physical contact. "Uh... Could ya let me go, MC? I can't breathe..."
MC released his friend. "Er, sorry..."
Nebris clapped Pakratt on the shoulder. "Good to see you're okay."
"Wait..." MC said. "If you're down here... who's up there?"
Pakratt sighed. "It's kinda a complicated story... Why don't you two sit down?"
Nebris placed the torch on the wall and moved to sit down along with MC. In the light of the fire, the two young Cobblehaterz could see just how much of a toll recent events had had on their older friend. His suit was torn and dirty in numerous places, and his dark hair was wildly disheveled. The circles under his eyes served to make him look years older than he actually was.
He turned to MC. "Do you remember what happened th' day I lent you those diamonds, MC?"
MC nodded numbly.
"Well," Pakratt continued. "It happened again, but worse. A few days ago, I collapsed at my spawn house. When I woke up, there were two of me. It seems my Pondery side wanted out so bad that he split off from me entirely. And now he's locked me up down here."
Pakratt let that information sink in for a second. Then, "... Yeah, I'd go ahead and say that's pretty bad..."
MC looked around their cell. "Please tell me you have a plan to get us out of here, Pak," he said.
Yes, Pakratt's two sides have different strengths and weaknesses! If you've ever seen the original Star Trek series, then you know where I'm going with this when it comes to evil clones.
Pondery!Pak has all the cunning and guts, whereas Normal!Pak has all the caution and compassion. Apart, they're basically useless. Pondery!Pak may be cunning, but he never thinks ahead.
To end this part, a silly little confession. Pakratt's lovely voice had lulled me to sleep more than once. Maybe I shouldn't type these things when I'm tired; it just makes me too open about myself.

"P-Pakratt?..." MC choked out.
"Yeah, it's me..." Pakratt(?) responded, trying to get to his feet.

"Wait, so the mess there was-" Nebris began.
"Caused by th' fight I had with him, yeah," Pakratt finished.
MC shook his head in disbelief. "What does he even want?"
Pakratt sighed and looked upwards to where the trapdoor was. "He probably wants t' take over everything. Also, he's a fan of warpin' reality. Has he done much of anythin' yet?"
MC and Nebris looked at each other.
"Uh..." MC began.
"Flying sheep," Nebris interjected.
"Exploding furnaces."
"Hostile chickens?"Pakratt let that information sink in for a second. Then, "... Yeah, I'd go ahead and say that's pretty bad..."
MC looked around their cell. "Please tell me you have a plan to get us out of here, Pak," he said.
For a moment, Pakratt simply stared at MC. "... I don't. Plannin' is... more of th' other me's specialty..."
Nebris opened his mouth to say something, but the sound of a door opening cut him off.
