Isi's Mindcrack Mod Adventures, Part 9

...goddammit.
Okay. Restarting in Minecraft. In some ways it was handy that I was all the way back at my spawn. I had spare stuff there. There was enough iron in my chest for more armor, a sword, and one compass, and I had food. My wheat farm was right there too. I made the essentials, packed up enough materials to make a new map, and set off. I shouldn't be too worried. MC and the Pauses were safe at the village at least, and that shouldn't be too hard to find again, right? Just go mostly north and a bit to the east, or just find the coast and boat there, just like how I found it the first time.
That was the first part of the plan. But it actually took me quite a while to get that far. I find video game deaths very discouraging, so there was a break in gameplay. Plus my north-eastwardly romp through the wilderness left me second guessing myself further. None of this looked familiar. Should I have found the coast by now? Should I just cut due east until I find the coast? Should I just turn around and start over?
...No. I had to trust the directions. And finally, I saw I was on the right track and found the village again. This time I would center my map on the village and use that to hopefully retrace my steps. I didn't necessarily need my old stuff, but it was just one of those things. You die, you go on a quest to recover your crap. So I did. I remembered the general direction I went, as well as the strange underwater sugar cane that lured me into a chasm of death. I wandered up and down every river I could find, but I couldn't find the spot where I fell, finally to the point where I was convinced the stuff wouldn't be there anymore even if I did find it. Quietly I gave up and went back to searching for Mindcrackers. Time to move on.

Wow, this moving on thing pays off! The first Anderz I've found, one of the few people I've yet to see even one of, the others being Millbee and Pyrao. So I'm especially happy to see even one of him.

And now we've finally got a friend for Pause 2 in the pit. Play nice, you two.

I think this Guude was trying to take off with my boat. Dang guy.
With my new map oriented further north than the one I lost, I could explore further north now and see what else there is to see. And for a long time, there wasn't anything. During that trip, it had been so long since I saw even a duplicate that I was a little worried I broke the mod somehow. Finally I came across a Zisteau, and later this Pause looking magnificent on the side of this hill.

There was still a bit in the north west corner that I hadn't seen...

MILLBEE! I'd recognize that beautiful wool anywhere. Yes, this is another of the guys I have yet to see at all. With the Pauses back at camp and the Beefs back home, I can finally finish off the love triangle set. On the other hand, it means Beef never gets Pause to himself.

I put him in a hole for now. I'm still not done looking around.

And good thing too! Here's another one!

I find a third one attempting to hide in some reeds GenerikB style. I find it slightly less effective than when Genny did it.
After sweeping the area some more and not finding anyone else, I decide it's time to bring the Millbees back to the village.

Pause may be happy to have his woolly friend, but something is very wrong here. Anderz is gone. In the process of putting the Millbees in the pen, Anderz somehow got pushed into the wall and suffocated to death. I was so surprised that it was happening that I couldn't do anything in time. With a heavy heart I set up a memorial for the only Anderz I've ever seen in this world.

*sigh*
