Group Rewatch S2P1: Nancy Drew UHC S1 Episodes 1&2

A new season of Group Rewatch awaits us! We fill in the lull between UltraHardcore seasons by going back and revisiting how it all began - Team Nancy Drew attempting to slay the Ender Dragon cooperatively with UltraHardcore on.

Episodes 3-5 will be posted on Friday around midnight EST, as will the first installment of Fanart Friday. I will actually be semi-away this upcoming weekend (Friday through Sunday); while I have my tablet on hand, I will probably not have full computer access, and frankly will probably be too busy with other things to be on much anyway. You guys are still welcome to post whatever you like, including your own Chit Chat'n Sunday post, but don't expect much from me, and I'll add new tags as necessary on Sunday night/Monday morning. We'll start season 2 of Nancy Drew UHC Monday around midnight, which will be a "season 2.5" of Group Rewatch itself.

Even the boys had to comment on just how much sexual innuendo there was in these episodes. I started making a list but it just got way out of hand way too fast.

You start with a name like "Ultra Hardcore" and you know it's going to go downhill fast in terms of innuendo.

Love the creeper at the door at 4:00 (VB's perspective).

"Mr 10K subs thinking he's a Minecraft star" (paraphrased) -- and it's a reference to Vintage Beef! I had no idea the 11K subs thing for Pause had a precedent in season 1.

Pause and Beef want to sleep together and Guude wants to sleep with everybody -- nothing changes, does it?

What were Beef and Pause thinking with Guude's cape and helmet?

I have an Irish friend who likes to tell a joke just like Baj's. Two Irish guys out looking for work, see a sign that wants "Tree Fellers Wanted". They look at it and say too bad there's only two of them.

Ah, the birth of something beautiful. I've watched this from the beginning, so there's a lot of nostalgia for me. It was around the time I was still getting into Mindcrack and was looking into the other guys' videos because I wanted more to watch, so half these guys were completely new to me, but I absolutely loved the interplay between them. I originally watched from Guude's perspective (and yes, he really did spend the entire first episode doing nothing but chop trees XD), and I think I was still getting into Beef, but if I was still on the fence, this definitely convinced me. It also got me into Pause, who I had heard of from Race for Wool, but I didn't think anything of him at the time. Baj didn't win me over until season 3.

Still classic Nancy Drew comedy gold. Also, why is innuendo so funny?

It's really interesting to see how different their LP styles are now. There's lots of quiet/downtime, which is amazing since there are four of them in the call. They clearly have no idea what to do, and there's lots of meandering and "bad choices" made by current UHC standards. Also, they all have amazingly bad mics! I never noticed just how good the sound quality is on their audio now until listening to this. Guude especially sounds muffled.

Lots of lovely innuendo in the second episode, though, and their massive 5-wide bed of ridiculousness. Beef also has quite a few curse words, that he has since eliminated from most of his Let's Plays. This is a blind watch for me too, so it's a lot of fun to see the beginning of UHC, and just how bad they all are at it.
