Prompt Swap #15

Welcome to entry number 15 among the Prompt Swaps in our little community!


The rules are simple:
Each participant will be randomly assigned to someone else. Once you know who you are writing for, look at the prompts provided and write a story based on one of them that you then post to the community during the monh of december; adding the prompt swap tag to any other fic tags you may be using. And remmeber to include the name of the person you were assigned either in the title or the describtion of your story.

You have time untill November 22nd to sign up. Assignments will be distributed on the 23rd. Stories can be posted from December 1st to December 31st.

(Please note: by signing up you commit yourself to writing one story. If you are absolutely unable to finish it before December ends because unforseen IRL events, please contact your assigned promptgiver about this and complete it as soon as you can after the fact. Please only do this if there is an actual reason. Don't just slack off.)

If you would like to join, please comment below. In your comment, please include the following:

• 2 - 4 prompts that your assigned writer can choose from. (Note: if you include NSFW themses or ships in these, please also provide at least one alternaive for people who are not comfortable writing those)
• Whether or not you are comfortable with reciving NSFW content if you haven't specifically asked for it.
• Whether or not you are comfortable with reciving stories containing shipping if you haven't specifically asked for it.
• Any other specifications you may have. (For example "Please no Crossover to other fandoms" or "No IRL settings" etc.)

Assigments will be send to you via PM. So make sure you have set your account to allow those.

All stories posted for this should be comple. There are no wordcount specifications, but try to go for 500 words at least. (You are of course free to write more, if inspiration and time allow for this).

The only real requirement I'd ask you to follow is to make these stories not part of an allready established story-setting that is longer than a simgle chapter. We want these stories to be accessable and readable by all of the community without having to read 300 pages of something else first. You may make refferences to such a setting, but keep it to a point where no prior knowledge is required to understand your work.

Oh man!!! Prompt swap time!!!!!

1) Compassion is becoming an increasingly revolutionary act

2) Coffee shop au where a very flirty barista hits it off with a very shy costumer

3) soulmate au: you have a compass tattooed on your wrist that points to your soulmate and glows when you find them

4) person A has been on the server for a while and is well involved with the group. Person B joins well into season 3 and needs some help getting adjusted (throwback to minecraft au bc season 6!!!!)

Okay y'all, you should know by now that I love SMS, like plz, just give me some cute and fluffy SMS that's maybe also angsty ^.^ (I'll take whatever though! Cute and fluffy, angsty and depressing, hot and steamy(????) like just give me SMS XD)

This would be my very first prompt swap and it's something I've looked forward to since joining.

1) Odd things have been happening ever since you died your hair red. You always seem to be either supernaturally lucky, or doomed to fail spectacularly. No matter what the outcome, you are always ok.

2) It was dark, and it was cold, and I was scared. Until... Until I saw the stars.

3) You, a married individual, wake up following a heart transplant operation. You discover that you no longer love your significant other, but instead, love the person that the heart donor loved. You dedicate the remainder of your life perusing the desires of the donor heart.

4) Every day, you find the same object, somewhere in your daily life... at work, in a closet, on the street. It's become routine to find this thing in unexpected places... until at the end of one day, you still haven't found it.

I may have found these ideas on Reddit, but they are ones I like and would love to see one of the people here write about them.

I'm comfortable receiving NSFW content and shipping. My fav ships are Chex, SMS and Nebtho. Please no crossover to other fandoms, other than that have at it.

2. Person A teaching person B something they are good at.
3. Person A just came back into person B's life. B has some feelings about this.
4. Person A is a ghost. Person B is haunted.

Any of these can be nsfw or not, shippy or not.

My favourite ships are: NAP (Nebris, Arkas and Pakratt,) Arkratt, Pakbris, Arkratt, Blechs (BTC/Vechs), Vechsteau, Chex, Sechs, Vebris, Nebris/Vechs/BTC.

Anything goes except no self-harm, abuse or infidelity.

Oh boy, here we go:

1) (IRL setting) 2+ Mindcrackers have to take an Uber from the airport to their hotel, but the longer they're in the car, the less sure they are that their Uber driver is a "normal" person.

2) On previous server seasons, someone has managed to send little books of gratitude to each Mindcracker in November, the month of Thanksgiving. Who picks up the small tradition this year on the new server?

3) (College AU) The vending machine close to an 8:30 am class just broke down, and Person A knows they won't be able to focus in class without eating something. How desperate will Person A act to get their sugary treat/breakfast? What do they do? (optional: Do their friend(s) jump in and help them?)


The prompts could be shippy if you wanted to write any one of them that way, but they're gen for the most part. I don't mind writing NSFW content, and I'm also fine writing shippy fics.

I do have favorite ships, but I want to let the writer have as much freedom to write, so if you have a favorite ship, you can write about them! I do like a lot of popular ships in the fandom, so it's no problem with me. :D

(But if you choose to write gen, I really like the interactions between the AS2 crew)

1) Spy-esque AU: Person A is a former spy and has a trigger word that causes them to act in specific ways, or perform specific acts.
2) IRL Setting: 1+ mindcracker(s) get extremely drunk, and someone is left as the sober man who has to make sure everyone stays safe.
3) Christmas has arrived! The mindcrackers have a secret santa of their own.
4) Camping Trip gone wrong, ends in group bonding.

I'm fine reading anything really, but I'd prefer that the story isn't angst. It is time for the holidays after all, something positive and uplifting would be phenomenal!

As for ships, my favorites include Pause/Beef, MC/Nebris, MC/Millbee, and Guude/BdoubleO.

Prompt swap!
- Mindcracker(s) manage to find themselves in a dragon's lair. They now have to somehow convince the dragon not to eat them...
- Slowly everything you come into contact with starts growing vines that engulf them...
- Two Mindcrackers are aware they are being set up by the narrator of the story (break the 4th wall!)
- Mindcracker happens to share the same surname as a notorious gangster who happens to have a price on their head...

No really NSFW stuff please, but I'm happy with shipping.

Almost forgot to sign up myself. =b

It is no secret that I absolutely love the banter between the CobbleHaters and the banter between the Agrarian Skies Crew. (Especially between Pakratt and Nebris.) So those are my character suggestions.
But feel free to include other people as well, if your story calls for it. There are a lot of great people we can write about, after all! =D


Here are your promopts:

- "Do you need me to kill someone for you?"

- "Oh, by the way: you're going to hate me in a few seconds."

- “Just relax, I’ll wash your hair for you.”

And in case you're not to keen on Dialogue Prompts:
- Two characters are communicating without words.
Why? I leave that up to you. Maybe they need to absolutely silent. Maybe they are somewhere where it's to loud to hear anything. Maybe they can't speek under the current conditions. Maybe they don't speek the same languae. Or maybe they simply don't need words to understand each other.



I prefer gen/friendship fics over shipping here, but I'd not mind the fine line of indicating that other feelings exist. That goes both for writing and reading.
As for NSFW: As long as it's not the "nsfw: sexual themes" tag variety I am perfectly fine with that.

So I haven't signed up because I'm a noob at writing fiction and I don't want to disappoint anyone. But I do want to practice more and get better!

So would it be ok to try some of these prompts, and post if I come up with anything that is somewhat decent (without actually participating in the swap)? There are a lot of intriguing prompts here, and I would love to try my hand without being under pressure to write something.

Prompts are there to inspire; anyone can use what they see fit and come up with an idea of their own.

Personally, I would say go for it!
But under one condition: since this is an assigned Promptswap and not a list of prompts to adopt, wait with posting whatever you write untill after the event is over, so we don't run into the issue where someone is working on an idea for the person they are assigned too and then find you had a similar thought and they feel the need to scrap their work and start over.
Likewise, it would be unfair if one person got two responses to their prompt while others still have to wait to see theirs released.
