Below this cut (because seriously, I'm pretty sure I wrote a novel - I'm bored and on a train, forgive me) you will find my official story of days two and three of PAX East. I said I would put this out and OP delivers!

I went to PAX, theoretically, for one reason and one reason only - the Magic: the Gathering panel. Therefore, I was slightly heartbroken when the tweeted videos showed up about the Mindcrack meetup on Saturday being at the same exact time as the panel. I tweeted Guude asking him if they'd be around for the hour, but never heard anything - so after I got done with the panel I made a beeline for the Pokémon lounge, hoping against hope they would be there. To my surprise, on the way I ran into MC, who shouted "Crystal! Follow me!" And I hopped in the clump of people that included TibTuner04 (from the fan server, who drove MC) and Skinfan13 (who I play with on the Wannabe server). I found out we were going to a panel, but I forget which one because we ran into the rest of the Mindcrackers and Van on the way. I heard they were going to the DayZ panel which sounded much more interesting and went along with them instead. I'm sorry, MC, I totally should have said something!

The DayZ panel was very boring. As the kind of person who puts on conventions and goes to many of them, I've seen a lot of panels in my day, and this one was not well done. It was in a very large space but barely used the projections, and the devs' accents made it hard to understand them. Van fell asleep! It was adorable.

After the panel we basically went down to the con floor and hung out for a while. We stopped by Twitch and said hi to some folk, then went to ThinkGeek where Pause and Guude purchased some golden swords to sign with everyone. All the while, we were meeting fans and other YouTubers, and at one moment we ran into Aureylian, who was trying her best to get the word out about the time and place and cabs for YouTube dinner. Yes, I went to YouTube dinner. I was stunned when BTC turned to me and asked if I wanted to come with, but happily said a big yes. Van confronted me about it later, but luckily we were sitting next to Aury at the time, and she gladly invited him along.

After some walking we sat down at a booth that had some sofas and a rug basically until the expo hall closed. Mindcrackers, Hermitcrafters, FTB devs, YouTubers, and people of all kinds came by, said hi, stayed, left, came back, etc. Lots more fans came around. I met more people including KingDaddyDMAC, Skyzm, IamSp00n, Pungence, and got to spend some time chatting with Aury. She's such a great person and, really, an inspiration to me, being one of the few female Minecraft LPers and the only one on one of the major LP servers. We talked a lot about being a girl, making videos, wanting to do lots of things with your life, and the kind of headsets that actually fit our heads!

The expo hall closed right when we had to leave to get cabs. Since he invited me, I thought it was only fair to accompany BTC in his car, since he drove to the con and didn't want to have to come back. Boston has the most annoying traffic - we ended up getting there after almost everyone else, but Guude saved us some seats at the main table. I sat on the very end of the table between BTC and KingDaddyDMAC, and both were very nice and awesome - DMAC told me a little about sushi to try to help me figure out what to get, but I got chicken teriyaki anyway. I spent some time talking with Joe Hills as well, and went over to the other table a bunch of times to speak with MC and Van at the end of that table, among others - at one point, I came over to find MC reading my PAX day one post, which felt incredibly surreal, let me tell you. I had like...two drinks? Three? I didn't get exceptionally drunk, even at karaoke - well, not exceptionally drunk for me, at least. I was drunk enough, though, to be pretty unruly in that video you all saw when we left for karaoke. That was when I first got to hang out at length with Marc_IRL, who is an awesomely cool dude. We made it to karaoke with surprisingly no incident.

Karaoke was a blast. So much fun. A lot of drinks were had, a lot of songs were sung, I danced (very badly) with Direwolf20 during Marc's 'Zoot Suit Riot' and got onstage with the rest of the girls for 'Barbie Girl'. I went to the bar seeking red bull for Joe Hills, almost lost my phone, drank out of Pause's giant fucking margarita, charged my phone in a corner, and tried unsuccessfully to not constantly trip over things. It was the most fun I've had in a very long time.

When the place closed they started trying to get everyone to leave. Being me I tried ushering a bunch of people out the front door we came in through - me, BTC, Joe Hills, Marc, Florastar, Direwolf, and maybe some others went out that door, and then nobody else. I learned later from Skin that the rest went out a side door and then, of course, bowling, but I just got BTC to drive me back to my hotel (such a nice guy!) and sadly missed out on the bowling.

Not much happened on the last day. I didn't expect to even see anyone at all, actually, so I was very surprised to run into a circle of Mindcrack people in the expo hall. I said hello and hung out for a bit - Guude asked me where BTC was, probably assuming things since we were the two who didn't show up to bowling, jerks should have texted or tweeted or something rant rant rant. Apparently he showed up later though. The group decided to leave the con center to go get lunch, but I couldn't go along - my friends and I were planning on leaving the con and heading home within an hour or so of that, so I hugged everyone goodbye, and that was the end of my Mindcrack adventure!

I probably won't be going to PlayOnCon, but rumor has it that MineCon is going to be at Disney World (in Florida) next time. I might totally try to go to that one. I haven't been to Disney World in years, and I had such a great time with the guys at this one, I can't wait to do it again!
