Talking; a Blechs fic
Sunday, June 12th, 2016 08:38 pmDon't let it be said I make empty threats.
Your move, Jimmy and Co.
Blame felt tears filling his eyes. It wasn't everyday they sat down and had a conversation, and whenever they did, it wasn't normally so… One sided.
Their relationship wasn't built on honeyed words and gentle kisses. No, it was built on war and rivalry hatred, both pushing but not caving.
It wasn't the argument in spawn town that surprised the group. No, that was perfectly normal. It was Blame finally, finally caving. He had grabbed the other by the shirt, and then used it to pull him closer, standing on tiptoe to force their lips together.
The entire server held its breath as Blame pulled away violently, realising what he had done. He sprinted away, body taking over as his brain thought over the situation again and again, and what problems it would cause. He eventually collapsed against a tree, huddled up.
And that's how Vechs found him hours later, huddled against a tree, asleep. Vechs sat down in front of him, legs crossed.
“Blame.”
The man started, attempting and failing to backpedal away from Vechs. He scanned the area, looking an escape. Deciding there wasn't one, he pulled his legs up against him, burying his face in his knees.
“Go away.”
But he didn't. Instead he pulled Blame towards him, wrapping him in his arms. He held him close, whispering sweet words into his ear.
It was from there the two settled into a new life, testing and poking the boundaries. They had been thrown into the deep end, their only support being each other.
Everything was going well.
That was, until:
One stupid, drunken mistake. A nighttime escapade with Nebris had left Blame full of regrets. Especially as Vechs had discovered them the morning after.
Nebris left the house quickly, wilting under Vechs’ deathglare. He shot a look at Blame before he left, his gaze full of regret and sorrow. Blame ignored it.
Vechs stared coldly at Blame, eyes full of stony hatred. A gaze he was all too familiar with, but he had never felt this terrible under it. Vechs turned and walked silently out of the house, slamming the door.
And that's the last time Blame saw him. For a while, at least.
Blame sighed deeply, the memories he reminisced out loud leaving him with a bittersweet feeling. He readjusted the flowers he had placed down, making sure they were neat and tucked away. He traced letters gently, the gold standing out from white marble. He stood slowly, patting the slab of stone in an affectionate manner, before walking away, tears running freely down his face.
‘Here lies Vechs Davion.
198x-201x.
Admired by all, loved dearly by one.”
