Isi's Mindcrack Mod Adventures, Part 3

NAVIGATION, HOW DOES IT WORK?
All right, yes, I caved in and used F3 at this point. I try not to depend on it, but unless I wanted to burrow down until I found materials to make a compass (spoiler alert: I didn't), it was my only option to point me in the right direction. Finally, I come in sight of the desert village. I am lost no more! And I had a bed there, so I could stop the wretched rain.

Getting out of the swamp was one thing, but I still needed to go back and refind the Mindcrackers I left behind. Finding that one island again amid a slew of islands that all looked the same was annoying, but at least I knew the general direction.

I picked up Beef, Just Defy, and Nebris and began the slow process getting them home. I still had the first Just Defy I found penned up in the water somewhere, but there was no way I was prepared to look for him yet.

Progress is slow, so I have the night to contend with. Mostly I pillared up out of range of any badness and waited it out.
Finally we make it out of the swamp. Now we head along the edge of the desert where the village is, mostly following the river that'll take me most of the way home. I'm mostly excited to be out of the swamp and can't wait to get these guys to the mosh pit. But then somewhere behind me, I hear the telltale sound of breaking kneecaps. I turn around...

Goddammit, it had to be Beef, didn't it?

Oh for the love of-- WHO PUT THIS HOLE HERE?! Beef! Can you hear me?

Beef! I'm glad you're okay. Look, I know you like caving, but we need to get you out of here.
Luckily there was nothing dangerous in the cave, and if fact there was a convenient opening to the surface on the other side, pointing in the direction I needed to go, so I guided Beef back solo.

Great. Now to retrieve the other two that I secured by the hole before going after Beef.

Team Justis is secure, and we've completed our two Nebris quota. Now onwards to more adventure!
I remembered that the other Just Defy was in more of a forest biome than the swamp, and I go looking for him again. But for the life of me, I couldn't find my crappy water fort where I left him. But I do find another Just Defy anyway.

And in the process of leading him around, I run into my second Adlington.

Don't go falling into the same hole Beef did, you two.

Excellent. We have five complete sets in total, with singles of five others. Our mosh pit is coming along nicely.
Next time: Our conquering of the swamp is still not complete. And what else is lurking in the neighboring forest?
