Hello! It has been several years since I posted the one fic I ever posted on here, but I am back! I really hope that this hasn't been done before. I am so so sorry if it has. I had no idea. Anyway, I am doing a Mindcrack version of Ten Little Roosters, the show RoosterTeeth put out last year, I think. Also, since it's been several years, I have forgotten how to salad, so if I do something wrong, please tell me. This is gonna be a tad different to the RT version, just saying. :D EDIT: I forgot to mention if you want to make predictions about who's next and how they die, go right ahead!
Ten Little Mindcrackers, standing together in the rain, one wandered off and only 9 remain
Nine Little Mindcrackers, all being used as bait, one couldn’t handle the rings, and then there were 8.
Eight Little Mindcrackers, feeling rather pissed, one got too heated, 7 persist.
Seven Little Mindcrackers,to find shelter they thrive, one has a blast , 6 stay alive.
Six Little Mindcracker, hiding in the ground, one looks too close, 5 stick around.
Five Little Mindcrackers, scared and unsure, one gets too cocky, 4 have more to endure
Four Little Mindcrackers, many of their friends now gone, one lacked sustenance, 3 tread on.
Three Little Mindcrackers, one not having much fun, the killer is killed. And then there was one.
“Why are we all here?” asked Guude
“Wait, you didn’t send this letter?” asked Pakratt, confusedly.
“No, I got one too, though.”
The letter, as it was later discovered in further conversation, had been sent to all 10 of the members of Mindcrack that were currently standing in the middle of spawn. They had no idea who had sent them, or really, why, but each of them was comforted by the fact that they were not alone. The contents of the letter were the same for each person and insisted that each of them meet up where they were currently standing at 7 in the evening. They had all done so and were wondering what exactly they should do next when, in typical Mindcrack server fashion, it started to rain.
“AH! It’s cold!” shouted Pause.
“It always rains on here, we should all be used to it by now,” said Doc.
“We need to get to somewhere dry and warm,” said Aurey.
“Yeah, obviously these letters are pointless and were just sent as a joke because we have no idea why we were asked to meet here,” said Arkas.
“Let’s all stay huddled together and look for a place to go,” said Guude, taking charge.
Vechs stayed with the group for a little bit when something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. Something shimmered in the darkness and he just had to know what it was. He snuck quietly away, planning to join the group again as soon as he figured out what the mysterious shimmer was caused by. He crept carefully towards it, not trying to call any attention to himself. He bent down and upon getting a closer look, he determined it to be...a diamond? Who just leaves a diamond on the ground?
Vechs was about to grab the diamond and pocket it when he heard a very awful, but very familiar sound.
“Is that? But it can’t be! Those are only found-there’s so many of them! Ahhhh!”

Aurey stopped walking, causing Doc to complain that she was in his way.
“Shhh! Did you hear that?”
“Hear what?”
“I heard a scream. It sounded kinda like Vechs, but it can’t be, he’s right-,” Aurey was about to say he was right there with them, when she realized that would’ve been an incorrect statement. Vechs was no longer with the group.
“We have to find him! It’s dark and rainy!” said Beef.
“Something probably happened to him! Why else would he have screamed?” asked Aurey.
“Well to be fair, Vechs makes a lot of weird sounds for no apparent reason all the time, so it could just be one of those instances,” said Nebris.
“We all need to find him,” said Guude. “Us Mindcrackers have to stick together! Now grab a buddy and let’s split up and look for him. Pause, Beef, I’ll come with you two since there’s an uneven number.”
Aurey and Pakratt went into the nearby forest. Jsano and Doc turned and started to explore the desert. Arkas and Nebris went into the jungle and the group of three headed into the plains biome. The groups had not been separated for all that long when Doc yelled,
“I found him! Quick! In the desert!”
Everyone stopped what they were doing and rushed to the desert. Aurey and Pak were the last two to arrive and when they got there, they noticed Doc kneeling down next to Vechs.
“Vechs? Buddy? Wake up. Wake up! Come on, man!”
Everyone looked on as Doc examined Vechs, who he had now declared dead.
“What happened to him, Doc? Can you tell?”
“It’s all very confusing,” Doc mumbled.
“What’s confusing?” asked Pakratt.
“He, he died to silverfish.”
“Silverfish? How?” asked Beef.
“I don’t know, man. These markings on him had to have been made by silverfish though, I know them well. Too well.”
“I know everyone is shaken up by the loss of our friend, but we seriously do need to find shelter to get out of the cold rain. Whose base is the closest to here?”
“Mine is, I think,” said Beef. “It’s a bit of a walk though.”
“Alright. Let’s all head to Beef’s place.”
