Was that their first time actually hanging out in real life? Because the complete lack of awkwardness between them was just beautiful. I'm watching the non-OOG footage now. I never realized that Coe and Joe Hills were a little cute, too. With all the attractive LPers out there, I could totally see your Guude-harem theory being a reality :P

Joe Hills is *adorable*, put-on accent or no. I'm watching his Waking Up LP now, where he seems to be opening up to talking about his real life, and he's an absolute sweetheart. I really wonder how much Guude has changed between Minecon and Play On Con to go from "fuck that guy" to "sure, be the DM for my tabletop campaign".

Oh man, another Waking Up LP I should watch? I'm already watching Vechs and Nebs and I was watching Pause, and I just started watching Amlup (which, by the way, in his Uncharted Territory 2 dev commentary, Amlup totally fanboys Etho and OOG, it's the most adorable thing). Sorry Joe Hills, you will have to wait until I'm not burned out on the map.

I'm not subscribed to Amlup; I'll probably wait on his dev commentary until after Etho's LP. Love the fact that he's such a Mindcrackhead though! Joe probably talks about his real life elsewhere, but his first few episodes of Waking Up are about getting married and becoming a father and they are saccharine sweet.

Aww man definitely have to watch it, that's so sweet. And I don't care if the accent is fake, it's adorable and I love it. If it is fake (and it might be - check out the MineCon: The Afterparty video where he definitely does not have it for a moment), he's really consistent at it and that's really impressive.

The dev commentary is of UT2 and Etho is playing UT1, a fact about which Amlup (thanks Vechs for making that his name forever) expresses displeasure and is all like "I should have been better and gotten my map out on time so Etho could have had a more awesome experience" and it's so adorable. Also, he has a gorgeous accent. Like, I want him and Millbee to be friends just to listen to them.

Double edit: Amlup is also an active member of the subreddit. Also, I want an other: Amlup tag, and I want Vechs's to be Vetches. Just because we can be silly XD

It was their first time meeting, which is pretty crazy. I think John is really awkward in the "We should snuggle" video, but not necessarily because of Guude. He just seems to be having that "just woke up, oh shit what is happening, I am not ready to act for the camera" moment yet. Also, damn the man's body. He's not really my type, but the boy is fit. And I love Guude so much for making that video, ahahaha. Oh this fandom.

I probably really should, if only because Jason and John in real world!"To Hear the Words" is just kind of tragic, at least on the surface. I blame that episode of Building with Bdubs about his ex and that recent Christian music performance thing that popped up and then disappeared on the subreddit. It's funny though, I usually have difficulty not tying all of my written fics into one tidy verse/headcanon. It's not as bad when it's things others are writing, but the logical half of my brain wants everything creative that I make to fit into one "world", which is ridiculous, but well I never said I was perfectly sane. :P

Oh man, I could never write all of my fic in the same "verse." I could have a bunch of different universes that were all internally consistent, but I'd definitely want to mix it up, if just because, for instance, what if you want to write the same pairing at the same time? Like, idk, take MineCon 2012 where EVERYONE IS GOING. If you write OOG, then how do you also write Kurt/BDubs or something. I WANT IT ALL. XD

Who knows, maybe this will be the fandom where you end up doing things you never expected!

I definitely want to *read* it all, but I tend to create really "ironclad" headcanons/verses when I write even the smallest things, which is why "To Hear the Words" can already have hundreds of words of meta and worldbuilding and logical rules. (I even have in my head the way the crafting benches and furnaces "really look" to someone inside. I AM CRAZY CAKES.) And so stepping out of the first world I create feels like "breaking the rules of the universe", which is dumb, but as I said I never said I was completely sane.

I think you misunderstand me. I DO ship them, I just don't actively ship them. (Though if ever I were to ship a pair it'd be OOG.) I mean, you can't deny they're shippy, and I definitely enjoy Beef/Pause and other things, but about on this level. OF COURSE THAT COULD ALL CHANGE.
