So this spawned from a comment Nebris made in the marathon about the fact he slept on the floor because it was more convenient than the sofa... Pretty sure this wasn't what you were after

Merry Christmas everyone :D

Pakratt woke in the hotel room to the muffled snores of Nebris which appearing to be coming from below. Rolling to see Nebris’ bed, he confirmed what he was hearing, Nebris was on the floor, sleeping between the two beds. He lightly moved Nebris away from his bed to create space so he could get up.

“Five more minutes.” Nebris mumbled from his slumber as he rolled forwards now against the bed he was supposed to be sleeping in.

Pakratt decided to let him sleep, he had being drinking everything anyone bought him until in the small hours Pakratt had dragged him back to their room. Pakratt had wanted to sleep and didn’t want a visit from Nebris and the other drunks in the middle of the night. He chose to shower before trying to wake Nebris. He took a slow shower, enjoying the peace of the morning aware that the group had many things planned for the day and this was probably the last bit of peace he would get before bed. He dried himself, making use of towels the hotel had provided. He got dressed before gathering his pyjamas and returning to the main room. He stowed away his pyjamas before turning his attention to Nebris, who was face down on the floor.

“Hey buddy, wake up.” Pakratt lightly shook Nebris.

“Murhur.” Nebris tried to swat Pakratt away, rolling slightly to get a better angle before falling back on his face

“I told you that last drink was a mistake.”

“You’re not my mother.” He protested, coughing as he breathed in some of the carpet, he rolled onto his side, leaning on Pakratts bed.

“It’s time to get up.”

“Ten more minutes.”

“I already gave you half an hour” Pakratt tapped his foot in impatience.

“What’s the time?”

“It’s past eleven”

Nebris was off the floor in a moment, staggering a bit as he stared at his watch. “Wait, you lied?” He protested.

“How else could I have gotten you up?”

“You could have told me it’s ten.”

“Since you are up, you can go have a shower before we leave”

“I don’t need one, I could nap instead”

“Shower for you, you still stink of alcohol” Pak opened the door to the ensuite before herding the bleary eyed Nebris into it. The door clicked, Nebris had locked it. “You might want a towel?”

“Oh yeah, towel.” the door unlocked, Pakratt found clothes and a towel and passed them through, this time Nebris didn’t lock the door. The shower started, but it didn’t sound like Nebris entered the shower. Pakratt put the kettle on,

“Pak?”

“What?”

“Can you find my shower stuff?”

“Where’d you put it?” Pak didn’t remember seeing anything like that in Nebris’ case

The shower switched off. After a crashing sound Nebris emerged.

“What was that?”

“What? Nothing. You’re hearing things.”

“I never said anything about hearing something.” Pakratt chuckled at his denial.

“You’re going crazy.”

“U-huh. Riiight.”

Nebris dug around in his case, eventually locating a clear plastic bag with various bottles. He tried picking up the cup that Pak had just filled with hot water as he passed. Pakratts’ reaction to pull away the cup barely fast enough, leaving Nebris grasping where the cup had just been. “I wanted that.”

“Clearly.”

Nebris started grumbling as he went off to his shower. Pakratt was enjoying his drink when a knock at the door interrupted him.

“It’s open.” Pakratt invited them in.

“I need another towel.” Nebris whined.

“Wait, why did you knock?”

The majority of the reply was drowned out by the shower, it ended in a clear “Towel?”

“I don’t think there’s another towel.”

“Damn.”

“What did you do with the oe i gave you?”

This time it didn’t sound like there was a response. Pakratt returned to his coffee. As he heard the shower turn off he flicked the kettle on. After a couple of crashes Nebris emerged, hair still dripping. He shook his head, spraying Pakratt and the walls.

“That’s just great.” Pakratt half complained

“Told you I needed a towel.” Nebris poured himself water, forgetting to put anything in the cup.

“I gave you a towel.”

“Why is this water?” Nebris stared at the cup for a moment before he picked out a teabag and placed it in his water before slumping in the other chair. He groaned. “My head’s pounding.”

“And whose fault is that?”

“Guude and his long islands.”

“I seem to recall you willingly drinking many more after those.”

“Fine, it was Pause and his damn challenge.” Nebris took the teabag out and placed it on the saucer.

“You accepted a challenge from Pause?”

“I almost had him.”

“I suggest next time you don’t even consider it.” Pakratt chastised him for accepting the challenge in the first place.

“Next time I’ll win.”

“Really?”

“You’ll help me cheat. He won’t expect that.” Nebris grinned at Pakratt, cheerful at the idea of cheating a win.

“I don’t think so.”

“You can get him doubles and me singles, it wouldn’t be that hard.”

“No.”

“Why?” Nebris whined.

“Do you really think I’ll help you get Pause drunk?”

“You’d be helping me not get drunk.”

“Not drinking would do that.” Pakratt reasoned

“You made me lose, only fair you help me win.”

“I’m not helping you.” Pakratt shook his head at Nebris’ determination to cheat.

There was a crash as their door was thrown open, Pause wandered in. He was smiling as he approached them with a slight swagger in his step once he spied Nebris.

“You remember our little bet?” Pause asked with sugar.

“Yes, can I finish my drink?” Nebris responded gruffly

“Fine.” Pause moved to sit on Pakratts’ bed. “So you shared a bed, is that why you didn’t argue when Pak wanted to take you back here?”

Nebris grinned, sipping his drink.

“No, just no.” Pakratt stated.

“His bed is untouched?” Pause argued.

“He slept on the floor.”

“You know Nebris, you make no sense.” Pause complained

“Let’s go get breakfast.” Nebris responded, placing down his cup before vacating the room followed by Pause.

Okay? XD
Certainly not what I was expecting, but it certainly was fun to read. =)
I'm not sure if I want to know what their bet was about or if I'd rather stay oblivious. On one hand I am curious, but on the other...
What I am curious about is how this would have continued.
Thank you, secret santa, for this nice little story that stayed true to the heart of my prompt =D

(Also...y, not Y. Xb)

That's surprisingly harmless, knowing the two who are involved XD

And yes, I did like it =)
I certainly had a good laugh about the 'helping to not get drunk' part of the conversation. XD
I may not favour the RealPersonFics particuarly, but this worked out well enough to make it still fun to read =D
