The forest was beautiful, really a wonderous place. But, to Kurt, it was just another place

Kurt had been walking for a while through the forest. The sunlight streamed down through the trees, casting shadows and illuminating other areas, creating a rather beautiful scene. It was something Kurt would've loved before, but now it was just another place.

Everything was just another to Kurt now. He saw the world differently. He'd once seen it for all the good and beautiful things, when he was innocent. But, now that he'd seen the bad, and had that experience, he saw it all differently.

The world wasn't the beautiful place he'd once thought it to be. He'd seen his mothers death and he remembers the day his father left, never to come back.

When Kurt's mother died, he felt himself loose something. He had been so close to his mother and he had watched as she took the last shuddering breath and faded from this world, the light from her vibrant blue eyes gone.

Kurt lost a part of himself that day. He couldn't figure out what, but he did.

Wolfie, his shaggy companion, barks, bringing Kurt out of his thoughts and back to the real world.

"What is it boy?" Kurt asks the wolf, who was sniffing the air.

Kurt sees an animal off in the distance, most likely a deer or something. At the sight of the animal, Kurt's stomach growls.

Kurt finds a nice spot next to a small stream to sit down and pulls out a small portion of the food he'd brought with.

It wasn't much, but the little he did eat would have to hold him over. He hadn't brought much food with, thinking he could hunt or something.

After taking a small break, sitting by the stream that bubbled peacefully through the forest, Kurt set off again, continuing through the green forest that was full of life.

It had been a while of traveling when the sun started its slow descent, starting to cast rays of purple, pink, orange, and red across the sky.

Kurt decided to set up camp for the night. He got a small fire going and set out his blanket so he wouldn't have to lay on the ground.

Once he'd laid down, Wolfie came over and laid beside him, cuddling against his side.

Kurt was quiet thankful to have Wolfie, he was really his only friend. Though, no matter how much Kurt enjoyed Wolfie's presence, he didn't help any with Kurt's emotions or loneliness.
