We. Are. Farmers. Da dum da da dum dum dum dum!

Yeah, so today's was different clothing styles, so Scooter and I made it into a country farmers type thing, so hope yall brought your tools and seeds! :P

The harsh sun was beating down on Guude's back as he wiped sweat from his brow. The summer days had been getting increasingly hotter, hotter than it normally got for Guude and BdoubleO out at their farm, and it was beginning to take its toll on their crops.

Guude put a hand to the dry, almost burnt corn husk with a sigh, taking what little he'd managed to salvage from the fiery gaze of the unrelenting sun back towards the farmhouse.

"Any luck out there, Guude?" he heard BdoubleO ask from the shaded porch of the house, Guude shaking his head in reply. Stepping into the shade, Guude let out a sigh of relief and laid down the basket of corn, carrots, and potatoes he'd managed to gather near the door.

"Nah, the damn sun is too hot to keep anything alive, guy," Guude said, his tone sounding very defeated and tired. He'd been scouring the fields for hours, getting the taste of dust in his mouth each time he breathed in through his mouth, and smelling not fresh vegetables and clean grass, but empty, dry soil and dead, burnt plant stalks.

"Do you want any help, Guude?" BdoubleO asked, putting his hand on Guude's shoulder. "I might not go out into the fields much, but I ain't wearing no dress and staying inside to let you do everything all the time!"

“Yeah, that’d actually be really useful, guy. We can take a small break now though, get somethin’ to drink, and then we can hit the fields” Guude said, adjusting his hat. Guude was a man with sandy blonde hair, who wear a long sleeved green shirt, which was covered up by his overalls. He only ever wore one strap on the overalls, due to the other’s buckle being broken. Guude also had a large straw hat he wore while working out in the field, to keep from being fried by the sun.

BdoubleO his partner was vastly different however, he wore a button-up plaid shirt, in which he often had the sleeves rolled up, and normal levi blue jeans, in addition to the work boots that both he and Guude owned, however his own work boots were far cleaner than Guude’s due to him often not working in the fields.

BdoubleO and Guude walked into their farm home, and BdoubleO quickly poured the two of them some water he had kept in the basement to keep it cool, handing a glass to Guude, who accepted it gratefully before chugging down half the glass.

"Ah, that tastes amazing after being out there for the better half of the morning," Guude said with a contented sigh, and BdoubleO murmured his agreement, as he was still drinking his glass of it.

"I made sure to keep it nice and cold for ya," BdoubleO told Guude, smiling happily. "Do you want to take a little longer of a break, or should we get back into the fields?"

"Already?" Guude said with a small noise of disappointment. "But it's still so hot out... Do we have to?"

BdoubleO smiled. "Well, if you'd rather wait until I cook dinner for ya to go out and get some more crops, be my guest, Guude," BdoubleO said teasingly. "Better now than later, in my opinion. Besides, if we go fast, I think I see a big cloud for us to go out and get something quick before the sun comes back." Guude conceded, downing the last of his glass of water and heading towards the door. BdoubleO followed behind him, and exited a second or two after Guude had.

Much to his surprise, BdoubleO was met with a quick kiss from Guude upon exiting the house, making him blush as Guude smiled at him.

"I'm happy you're gonna be coming out with me for a bit today. It's nice to have ya with me," Guude told BdoubleO, then hugged him.

"Aww, thanks, Guude! I'm glad to come out and be helpful for a change, so I hope we can manage to find some good potatoes and carrots!" BdoubleO said, smiling in return at Guude's gratitude.

After taking a moment, Guude released BdoubleO from his grasp and grabbed the basket instead, stepping down the steps of the farmhouse and into the dust and dirt of the fields.

"Off we go, then!" BdoubleO said with a grin, walking his way down next to Guude before they both set off among the tall corn stalks to search for the corn that had survived the trial by fire they'd received.

It was a long process, and the cooler weather provided by the few clouds in the sky didn’t hold up for long, causing BdoubleO and Guude to sweat even more profusely than they were. It was difficult, and BdoubleO failed to go fifteen minutes without complaining, but Guude expected just as much, and the fact BdoubleO came out to the field with him to begin with meant the world to him.

Surprisingly, and luckily, they had actually managed to find a large amount of potatoes that had survived the heat, and even a bit of the rest of their crops, but far more potatoes.

“Hey Guude, look what I found” BdoubleO said, picking up a stick on the ground, that had somehow gotten jammed into the side of a potato. “It kinda looks like a cracked skull if you look at it from a certain angle, don’t you think?” BdoubleO was turning his head to the side, and seemed to be heavily focused on the potato, causing Guude to chuckle a bit.

“Boo, no offense, but it looks like a potato on a stick…” Guude said laughing, causing BdoubleO to frown a bit before tossing the destroyed potato over his shoulder and continuing on.

Guude and BdoubleO rushed through the remainder of their crops for just one last check on everything before heading back to the house. The sun was descending in the sky, nearly to the horizon by that time, and it cast long shadows around the fields from all the corn and even their own shadows.

"Did I ever tell ya that you look cute when the sun's reflecting in your eyes, Boo?" Guude asked him, looking over his shoulder at BdoubleO as he said it, smiling sweetly. BdoubleO began to blush, it it was hidden by the orange light of the sun. BdoubleO was just about to respond, but Guude suddenly fell over, landing on his back in the dust and fallen corn leaves.

"Oh my gosh, are you okay, Guude!?" BdoubleO asked, rushing over to Guude's side as Guude sat up.

"Yeah... That was weird," Guude commented, standing up again and brushing off the dirt. BdoubleO looked at Guude, wondering what had happened, but as he took another step forward, he fell back again, and BdoubleO saw the problem, crouching down to catch Guude so he didn't hit the ground again.

"Hold on a second, Guude. It seems that you got yourself stuck on a corn stalk when you walked past it," he said with a chuckle, and sure enough, when Guude looked behind him, he saw a corn stalk bending down and leading to his back.

"What the hell did it catch on?" Guude asked BdoubleO, thinking that he had nothing on that would catch the stalks.

"It caught on your overalls, silly," BdoubleO told him, and Guude laughed at the odds of that happening. "There ya go!" BdoubleO said triumphantly, picking Guude up and putting him back at an upright position. "All free of stray corn stalks that might trip ya!"

They walked the rest of the way back home without any further incidents, and once there, they picked up the crops that they'd gathered just now and earlier that day, bringing it down to the cellar, and then went back upstairs to the dining room and kitchen.

"Thanks so much for coming out with me, today, Boo," Guude told his significant other. "It went hours faster than it would've been without ya, and you certainly helped me out with that dang corn stalk that got me." BdoubleO laughed a bit at the mention of the tripping corn stalk, but he smiled back at Guude.

"I'm just happy you're here to watch me make dinner for once. Maybe eventually you'll be able to cook without nearly burning the house down!" BdoubleO told him with a grin, as Guude protested that his cooking skills weren't that bad.

BdoubleO started doing what he was comfortable with, which was cooking. Walking around in the field gathering crops was a unique experience, and BdoubleO was glad he did it, but he was far happier being inside now. BdoubleO started taking ingredients, and boiling water, throwing vegetables and other ingredients into a pot. BdoubleO did this with a smile, occasionally even whistling a tune to himself, and eventually, with a bit of hard work, BdoubleO was pouring him and Guude two large bowls of stew.

“Dang Boo, you never fail to make this great food, and you always do it with a smile, how do you do that?” Guude said, after he had finished his own bowl of stew.

“I dont know, I guess I just like cooking, and like cooking for you” BdoubleO said with a smile, before taking another spoonful of his stew. “Besides, you’re the one who does all the actual hard work, I couldn’t handle being out there in the field all day like you”

“D’aw, you’re too sweet guy” Guude said with a smile, leaning forward and kissing BdoubleO on the nose.

"Whatd'ya say to getting this cleaned up and heading off to bed?" Guude asked BdoubleO with a small wink.

"Hell yeah! I'm tired as hell, man!" BdoubleO replied enthusiastically, making Guude laugh a bit.

"Boo, I didn't mean that we should go sleep, just up to bed," Guude explained, BdoubleO murmuring "oooh" in response, making Guude almost break out into full-blown laughter.

"Hey, I'm tired, give me a bit of a break," BdoubleO said, feigning annoyance, then he leaned across the table to give Guude a kiss. "And I sure as hell don't mind what you have in mind."

POTATO ON A STICK!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That made me laugh so hard.

One of my favorite potato on a stick moments was in a Building Game episode. Two or three people wrote down potato on a stick, other people built it. At the end, one of the non Mindcrackers there asked; "So, is potato on a stick just a meme I don't know or something?" The Mindcrackers just laughed. It's one of my favorite building game moments ever.

Sorry about that, it's just what potato in a stick reminds me of.
