MC and Millbee. Short, sweet and silly. Almost could be read as gen/friendship, and Millbee is human.
MC sat on top of the motel, and surveyed Woolopolis in the light of the setting sun. It was a strange town, with its odd assortment of buildings and orange-paved streets, but he felt at home here.
It had been quite the adventure, trekking away from civilization with Millbee and finding a village they could expand and build upon, being able to create whatever took their fancy. Of course, he could have done that anywhere else on the server, but he liked that this place was remote, mostly unvisited by the other guys, just the villagers and seeing how many kinds of trouble Millbee could get into.
He shook his head, smiling. Everything was sillier with Millbee around, and that wasn't a bad thing. Sometimes it was good to get away from everything else, have fun and get into trouble. The time they spent in Woolopolis was never, ever dull. MC often found himself forgetting to be serious, chatting about the most random of topics and indulging Millbee's crazy ideas with some of his own. Would he have built an Evil Gundam Melon Robot anywhere else? Probably not.
"Phew! All done." The man in question flopped next to him, bare feet dangling over the edge of the building. While armour boots were permitted for protection, there were of course no shoes allowed in Woolopolis.
Millbee grinned at him, his short, brightly-dyed curly hair and equally bright fluffy rainbow jumper ruffling in the breeze. "Whatcha thinking about?"
"Nothing really. Did you put all that stuff away?"
"Yep!"
"Will I find wood in the cobble chest next time I look?"
"What? No! Well, er... okay, probably. But the wood chest was full and that one was closest. I'll move stuff around tomorrow." Millbee yawned widely.
MC just shook his head. Millbee would probably forget, and be off getting into something else. He couldn't bring himself to mind, though.
The sun dipped lower, bringing a chill to the evening breeze. MC shivered slightly.
Millbee wrapped one fluffy-clad arm around his shoulders, automatically tugging him closer. MC lent against his side, the warmth inviting. He might have snuggled a bit. Millbee didn't even try not to smile. They watched the red glow over the horizon gradually begin to fade as the day slipped into night.
"So," Millbee asked, "What're we going to build tomorrow?"
