This one was so much fun to write! It does heavily hint at NSFW, but nothing is really said or shown, just a warning. Anyways, as always feel free to leave comments and constructive criticism!

Guude, BdoubleO and some of the guys decide to play some Glow In The Dark Mini Golf before PAX East.

Day 9: Hanging out with friends

Quiet pop music played in the background while Guude waited for people to arrive to the party. It wasn’t a huge thing, just a fun thing to do as friends, but Guude still was eager to see all of his friends, and especially his boyfriend, who admittedly, hadn’t been gone for very long, as he’d only a few minutes ago gone to the airport to pick up the last two people flying into town.

Tonight wasn’t a huge deal, but that didn’t mean that they weren’t all prepared for a long but fun week at PAX East. They’d managed to fly in not just one, but three of the Europeans, as well as Coe, and they’d all wanted to get together for a fun night before the real festivities began. Luckily, Guude had managed to find a place that he’d initially seen and thought it seemed like a good place.

After another minute or so of waiting, the doors to the building opened, and Guude waved at the three arrivals: Etho, Coe, and Millbee.

“Damn, man, this place looks cool!” Millbee told Guude as he looked around. Coe and Etho seemed to be similarly impressed with the place.

“Hell yeah it does,” Guude said, looking back at the room again, even though he’d been there almost all day by now. The room was covered in dark carpet with neon colored strips of tape and designs on the walls, and all of it was made even more impressive by the ultraviolet lights that made the colors that much more vibrant. And of course, it wasn’t just a glow-in-the-dark room, it was much better. Courses were set up throughout the room, many with pinball-like designs to them, and many golf clubs lined up behind the check-in counter.

“I never would have thought to find a place with glow-in-the-dark mini golf,” Coe said, taking a club and looking at it, as it was also wrapped with luminous tape. The room was much more impressive than Guude had thought it would be when he’d heard about it, and his first impressions of awe might’ve influenced his choice, but it seemed like this would be a fun place to spend the evening.

“So, are we gonna start now, or do we have to be lame and wait for the other people?” MIllbee asked with a grin, his teeth glowing purple-ish in the lights. As if on cue, the doors burst open with the remaining four people who were coming.

“What’s up, my bruthas?” Generik asked, coming in through the door first of the arriving members. Doc walked in behind him, dwarfing Generik with his massive height, then again dwarfed as Pause walked in behind Doc. Finally, BdoubleO walked inside, closing the door behind him, and walked over first to Guude.

Although they’d already seen each other once for a few minutes earlier that evening, they had barely seen each other in person over the past few years of their relationship, only ever at conventions and rare planned meet-ups, so this was their first time truly seeing each other face to face in a number of months.

"It sure is nice getting together like this, just us and the guys, ready to play some mini golf" BdoubleO said, grinning a slight grin.

"Yeah, it is. Especially since it's so rare for us to meet up with the guys who live in Europe" Guude agreed.

"But, it's even nicer to see you again" BdoubleO said, grabbing Guude's waist and leaning his forehead against that of the others. Guude giggled a bit, and gave BdoubleO a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Oh come on Guude" BdoubleO began "I haven't seen you in a few months and all I get is a kiss on the cheek?" Guude rolled his eyes and kissed BdoubleO on the lips, however it was again a quick kiss.

"That's all you're getting right now guy, we're hanging out with our friends" Guude said, much to BdoubleO's dismay.

"Oh, but Guude." BdoubleO said, giving an over-the-top pouty face.

"No, guy" Guude said, giggling at BdoubleO's expressiveness "I'll make ya a deal, if you can beat me in mini golf we'll do whatever you want tonight, sound good?"

"Ohohoho, that sounds great!" BdoubleO said, immediately perking up. "Now Guude, I'm not sure you know who you're messing with here, I almost won the 2012 Putt Putt world championships you know" Guude simply rolled his with a smile, shrugging off BdoubleO's silly comment.

"If you love birds are done being all lovey-dovey over there, there's some intense mini golf to be had!" Millbee shouted over to Guude and BdoubleO, as the rest of their group were already at the counter, ready to get their clubs and golf balls.

“Alright, you’re all set to play, fellas,” the man working the desk told them as BdoubleO and Guude stepped up to the counter with their friends. Each one grabbed a club and a ball, each ball a different color so they wouldn’t mix them up.

“What, no rainbow? Man, that stinks. I’ll take purple instead,” Millbee said reluctantly, but he still looked eager to begin.

“Do, uh, you have any larger clubs?” Pause asked sheepishly, gesturing to the fact that he and Doc, being the tallest in the group, had to nearly bend over nearly 90° to reach the floor with their clubs. Guude made a show of swinging his club low to the ground with ease, saying “come on, Pause, it’s easy!” as he was the shortest in the group, making Pause yell at him to shut up as Guude laughed at the reaction.

“Point for short people,” BdoubleO whispered to Guude, making him laugh even more.

When the man working finally found some larger clubs in the back room, the group stepped up to the first hole, which was designed like a windmill, but the only real light on the course was from the blades of the windmill and from around the hole. Beside the beginning of the course, they also saw a small box with a piece of piping coming out of it at the bottom.

“What’s this thing?” Generik asked, pointing to the box, which appeared to have a ball-sized opening at the top, along with a sign saying ‘put ball here.’ Coe looked at the box, and with a shrug, dropped his ball in the box.

“I’m not paying for another ball when you just dropped your ball in a ball return or some crap,” Guude told Coe, who laughed a bit. But, after a moment, the golf ball rolled out of the pipe on the bottom, falling to the ground with a new glow added to it, making all of the Mindcrackers stare in amazement.

“It made it all glow-in-the-dark!” Millbee said excitedly, dropping his ball into the box, and the same thing happened to his. The guys all went around and got their golf balls to turn glow-in-the-dark, then they began to really play.

Pause shot his first, and the ball spun off to the left of the windmill, taking a roundabout path around the obstacle. Coe and Doc both shot towards the hole through the base of the windmill, only to have their balls thrown back as the blades intercepted the balls. Millbee’s ball avoided the blades, but ended up not having enough momentum to get the whole way through the windmill, much to the group’s disappointment and annoyance as he had to go and tell the worker to stop the windmill momentarily so he could get the ball free.

After the temporary delay, Generik went next, taking the same route as Pause, and hitting his ball around the windmill. Guude was next, so he places his now neon green ball on the ground, and swung his club at the ball. The ball rolled rather fast for mini golf, and went straight through the middle of the windmill, avoiding the blades. However it seemed to have too much speed, as it rolled right over the hole.

"Alright, alright, not bad Guude. But step aside, and watch how a real Putt Putt professional does it." BdoubleO said, causing Guude to giggle a bit. BdoubleO placed his white glowing golf ball on the ground, then did some mock stretching motions, causing the group as a whole to laugh. After he was 'ready' he swung his club at the ball, and the ball rolled straight towards the windmill, only for it to bounce off of one of the blades, and roll almost all the way back to where he had initially hit it from.

"Putt Putt professional?" Guude questioned with a smirk.

"Shut up, I'm just warming up!" BdoubleO said, causing Guude to laugh once more.

"Alright, that's everyone but Etho" Doc said, holding the scoring book, as he was the designated scorekeeper.

"Well guys, just a little warning, I've never played mini golf before, so I'm probably not very good" Etho said, dropping his glowing, cyan colored ball to the ground. Etho then lined up his shot, and swung his club. The ball rolled straight through the middle of the windmill, and dropped right into the hole.

"Oh snap Etho, you just got a hole in 1!" Coe said, clapping Etho on the back.

"Oh, uh, it wasn't that impressive guys. It was just the first hole, I'm sure you'll all be doing better than me towards the end" Etho said.

Everyone finished up their shots on the first hole, and Doc tallied them accordingly. Etho was winning, with Pause, Generik and Guude all tied for second. Then was Doc and Coe, followed by Millbee and BdoubleO who were tied for dead last.

"You feel good now Guude, but I can assure you, there's still a lot of Putt Putt left to play!" BdoubleO said, determined to beat Guude in this game of miniature golf.

The group of friends continued to play through many more holes, with little to no actual problems aside from their gameplay. There was one time when Generik managed to lose his ball, much to everyone's surprise.

"How the hell did you manage to lose a bright neon orange golf ball?" Coe asked Generik, as they stood at the 14th hole.

"I don't know man, the thing just like, vanished!" Generik said, rummaging through his shorts pockets for the third time. Luckily for Generik, the place they were at just gave him a new ball, without any hassle.

The holes seemed to become much harder after the 15th hole, however, and the scores were dropping from getting the ball in with 2 below par to 2 above for everyone. Almost everyone, that is, as Etho had continually scored the best out of everyone, with multiple hole-in-one's.

"This thing looks crazy, man," Doc said as he walked up to the 15th hole, and the others could only nod and murmur in agreement.

The hole was set up so that you had to shoot your ball through a small area into a roulette spinner, and it was what appeared to be a 1 in 30 or so chance for them to even get the ball past that, when there was a steep slope to get the ball up to the hole.

"Who's going first?" Pause finally asked after they finally got over their shock. Everyone seemed to be reluctant to be the first to go, so Guude nudged BdoubleO gently, whispering to him.

"Why doesn't the Putt Putt champion go first?" Guude asked in a slightly mocking tone, and BdoubleO was about to retort something to Guude, but he decided against it, instead stepping forward to go first, and the others began to cheer him on because he had been man enough to go.

BdoubleO began to line up his shot, a look of intense concentration on his face, which was very far from the cocky manner he'd been playing the rest of the holes with. He lifted his club, shifting slightly as he prepared to shoot, and then swung the club down, hitting the ball into the roulette board, and it began to circle around, slowly getting closer to the center, and finally the ball fell right down into the correct number, getting sent down onto the rest of the course.

"Holy shit, he made it!" Pause exclaimed, astonished by how easy it seemed despite its appearance. He stepped up to shoot next, much more confidant than he'd been a moment before. He quickly lined up and shot, sending the ball away into the roulette board, only to have the ball land on the opposite end of the board and get sent back to him.

"You seemed eager to go nowhere with that shot, Pause," Coe said to Pause, who just picked up his ball with a bit of an annoyed expression on his face.

For the next minute or two, the rest of the guys struggled to get the ball through the roulette board, when Etho finally got the ball through, followed by Millbee. The rest of them took a little while longer, but eventually, everyone made it through.

"Well, with how that last hole went..." Doc began, eyes glancing over the insanely high numbers they'd received on the hole. "BDubs has moved from last to third, just behind Generik."

"Dang it,guy, you're so damn lucky!" Guude told BdoubleO, who just smiled before replying.

"No luck, Guude. All skill around here." BdoubleO said, leaning against his golf club with a smirk.

The next two holes went similarly for the group as whole, everyone doing very poorly, with only Etho having even slight success. Doc tallied up the scores before heading to the 18th and final hole.

"Alright... Right now, Etho is literally guaranteed first..." Doc began, everyone sighing.

"Guys, I swear I've never done this before! It just must be my beginners luck!" Etho said, causing Pause to roll his eyes.

"After Etho is Generik, then Pause, then Bdubs and Guude are tied for fourth, then me, then Coe and finally Millbee is in last" Doc said, reading off of his scoreboard.

"Man, mini golf is stupid anyways" Millbee said with a frown on his face, causing some of the other guys to laugh.

The group walked up to the 18th and final hole, and what they saw in front of them, was truly frightening. It was a giant clown head, with its tongue sticking out and becoming a ramp, that led up to its mouth, which was the hole.

"Holy shit dude, way to make the last hole creepy as fuck..." Coe said, looking at the giant plastic clown head.

"So, it looks like this hole is pretty straight forward. You just aim for the tongue, and if it gets to the top you get a hole-in-one, and if not you just keep trying to get up the tongue..." Etho said, examining the hole further.

"Alright, I'll go first for this one" Generik said with an upbeat tone in his voice. He placed his new neon orange golf ball to the ground, and took swing. The golf ball rolled straight forward, up the tongue, and down the Clown's mouth, never to be seen by them again. "Alright! That's my 3rd hole-in-one of the night!" Generik said, before making a mouth trumpet noise.

"Still didn't beat Etho with his 7. Seriously dude, what the hell?" Millbee said to Etho, who simply shrugged.

Etho went next, and got his 8th hole-in-one of the night, securing his spot at first place. Following Etho was Doc, who also got a hole-in-one. Next up was Millbee, who once again didn't swing hard enough, as the ball rolled up the Clown's tongue, and right back down. Pause hit his ball a bit too far to the right, so it missed the Clown's tongue entirely. Coe was up next, and he had successfully made his first hole-in-one of the night.

"Alright, all that's left are Guude and Bdubs, who are tied for 4th right now" Doc said, everyone in the group looking at the two with a grin. They weren't exactly aware of the bet they had made, but they knew the duo had, had quite the rivalry so far that game.

"I'll go first" Guude said, placing down his ball. He took aim with his club, and with much care took a swing at the glowing green sphere. The ball rolled straight forward, and up the tongue of the clown, and right when it was getting to the top, it ran out of momentum and rolled right back down.

"Yes!" BdoubleO cheered, pumping his fist into the air. "I win, yes, yes, yes!"

"Hold your horses there guy, you still need to make this hole-in-one in order to win..." Guude said with a smirk.

"Pft, easy-peasy baby" BdoubleO said, a smirk on his face to match Guude's.

Internally, BdoubleO was freaking out and trying to calm himself down enough to concentrate on the game, but it was difficult considering the stakes. He began to “stretch” again to waste time while he calmed down, and when he felt ready, he took his club and set it down right behind the ball. He concentrated again, keeping his eye on the prize, lifting up the club from next to the ball, winding up the shot. He took a deep breath and swung the club.

As he swung, Guude walked up behind him, and as the club fell, Guude whispered, “Don’t mess up” in his ear, and he jerked his arm slightly, swinging to the right of the ball and accidentally letting go of his club, sending it flying up into the air, making all 8 of them scatter as the club fell down, landing cleanly in the hand of a statue nearby.

“Damn it, Guude! I could’ve killed someone!” BdoubleO said, slightly annoyed he’d tried to disrupt his shot. Guude shrugged, giving him an innocent look to cover his smirk. BdoubleO walked over and snatched the club from the hand of the statue and went back over to the ball, which hadn’t moved an inch since BdoubleO had set it there. He took a moment to calm himself down from Guude’s attempt at making him lose, then raised the club up, focusing hard on the swing, and shot the ball towards the clown.

And the ball sailed smoothly up the tongue of the clown, having enough power to top the slope and slip down into the clown’s mouth. Triumphantly, BdoubleO raised his fist in the air, letting out a cry of victory. Guude just chuckled, but he didn’t mind. He had something to look forward to just like BdoubleO did. Everyone, hiding small smiles and laughter at the outburst, went over and congratulated BdoubleO on his shot.

As they all settled down from the moment, they slipped into pleasant conversation as they went and returned their clubs and went over to some benches to just sit and catch up before the chaos of the week ahead of them took over all their free time. After a few minutes, BdoubleO got up, giving a slight gesture to Guude to follow, and the two went over towards an empty area of the building to talk, leaving behind the snickers and gossip about what they might be doing over there by themselves.

“Congrats on winning, Boo,” Guude said when they were sufficiently out of earshot of the others.

“No thanks to you! But it’s okay, I still won, so I don’t mind. Just so long as you keep your end of the deal,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows, which made Guude laugh.

“Of course I will, Boo. Do you think I’m a lying mob boss like you?” Guude asked teasingly, making BdoubleO shut him up with a quick kiss on the lips.

“I might be a mob boss, but that doesn’t mean I’m a liar! I’ll see you in my hotel room later, ya darn guy,” BdoubleO said, making Guude laugh again.

“Did I even need to pay for a hotel room if I’m going to be sleeping in yours this week?” Guude asked him, making BdoubleO raise his eyebrows questioningly.

“All week, hmm? Well, I mean, I’m not complaining,” he said, wrapping his arms around Guude and leaning in so their foreheads were touching. “Of course, if you got a better room, bet your ass we’re staying in there instead.”

“Bet my ass? I already did that tonight, Boo,” Guude told him, laughing loudly, and BdoubleO joined in before the two walked back over to their friends.

I'm just imagining doc as one of those cartoon characters with abnormally long legs.

P.S- Very cute! Liked the neon/glow in the dark stuff.
