I wrote this because I was angry that my brother has no respect for my birthday, and I needed to cheer myself up.

Non canon. The Sem Equites universe is unaffected by this story.
This story is set a bit further into the timeline than had been written yet (which is why Meg is in this one, but not the main story yet).

Shawn sat bolt upright in his bed, and looked at his clock. "Crap." He muttered. It was 8:00 am, when he usually woke up. The problem was the date. It was the twenty fourth of August. His birthday.

When he still lived in the village in Germany, birthdays had been a big deal to him. They were the best thing ever. But his brother was completely unable to deal with the fact that Shawn's birthday was about Shawn, not him. So, attitude ran rampant on the twenty fourth of August. Every year, he's started looking forward to his birthday less and less. He'd even gotten to the point where he started to dread birthdays. After he'd left the village of his birth, Shawn had just stopped celebrating.

Of course, the Saladers who knew of his birthday always tried to do something for him. Quite frankly, he wanted to be left alone on his birthday.

He looked over at Meg, sleeping peacefully in her bed on the other side of the room. She would definitely try to do something for him. He sighed and got out of bed. He walked to his dresser and pulled out some clothes, went into the bathroom to change, and left the apartment. He came back thirty second later for his goggles and tablet.

Shawn hatched a simple plan. He'd go about his usual routine and hope no one would remember. He headed to the food court to get himself some breakfast.

Once Shawn was out the door, Meg jumped out of bed. She had a ton of work to do if she was going to pull this off. But until she was out of the apartment, her normal routine was more important. She got up, dug around in her dresser for some clothes, and headed to the bathroom. After doing her makeup, weighing herself, and showering--not in that order mind you--she got dressed and left.

Her plan was simple. Wait until Shawn was eating, then bring every Salader to the food court. He'd hate all the attention, which is why it was perfect.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When Shawn walked into the food court, he noticed Clash was busy at the Hot Pocket machine again. He walked over to say hi. "Hey, Clash. Did you break it again?"
Clash looked up, startled. "I didn't do it!" He exclaimed.
Shawn just shook his head and walked off to find some pancakes or something.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After Shawn walked off, Clash turned to look at the door and gave it a thumbs up. Seconds later, Meg was sending messages to every salader however she could. Pagers, cell phones, tablets, laptops. If it could get messages, she sent one to it.

Minutes later, the food court was filled with every single person that was part of salad.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shawn had a couple of hints that something was wrong. First of all, Seven was in the food court, not hanging around Clash. Second, Moosh was here far too early. She usually didn't eat until almost nine.
Third, Meg was here. She never got up before ten.
She walked over, smiling pleasantly, and carrying a tray of food. "Hey!" She said. "What's up?"
He looked at her, trying to figure out what she was planning and hoping he didn't seem weird just staring at her blue/green eyes. Then again, he did that often enough. After about thirty seconds, he shrugged, unable to figure it out. "Nothing much." He said. "Just pancakes. What's up with you? You're up early." Shawn looked over towards the door, noticing that several more people had just entered.
Then he looked around the rest of the room. It was full. All four hundred saladers were here.
Meg smiled an evil smile and stood up. "You get distracted by my eyes far too easily." She turned to the crowd. "Ready?!"
At this moment, they all broke out singing. All except for Seven and Clash, who had started playing tunes to go with the birthday songs being sung.
A few hours later into the party, Shawn slipped out into the hallway. He noticed Meg standing a few feet away, talking to Freeze. He walked up to Meg and whispered in her ear. "I'm going to get you for this."
She smiled evilly and whispered back. "That is a whole different birthday."
Shawn, dumbfounded by that comment, tried to retaliate. Meg had different plans. She leaned over and kissed him. Freeze, at that exact moment, covered the floor in ice, causing the couple to slip and fall. All three of them started laughing hysterically.
Maybe birthdays weren't so bad after all.
