A/n: Yay, I’m actually posting something for once (rather than help other people and work on projects)! I’m cutting it close, but I’m not actually late for prompt swap… so that’s good.

The green-goggled man was rushing towards the hill. His partner ran beside him, her golden armour glinting in the sunlight. They had finally managed to track down the Great Villain, the one who had managed to start the largest war the continent had known, by assassinating some of the royal family of the two largest nations. They blamed each other, and war ensued. The green-googled man was going to make sure that he was punished for his crimes. He looked into the emerald eyes of his partner, and they nodded together, increasing their speed.

On the other side of the hill, there was a similar group, two partners also dashing towards the hill. One wore distinct wrapping, covering his body and blowing slightly in the wind, while the other was covered in a patterned, dark, suit; a camouflage suit, but designed for very dark environments. The two men looked at each other, purple eyes meeting red and gray ones, and they increased their speed as well, dashing up the hill.

The four people arrived at the summit at the same time, forming a circle around a solitary figure, who had been standing right at the top, a man in armour, silently awaiting their arrival. He appeared normal, except for his head. Where it should have been, only a skull remained, red glowing eyes inset within.  The masked man glared at the person he and the three others had surrounded, and began to speak.

“Deadbones! Your time is up. Even you can not face the best four warriors in the two great kingdoms. Surrender now, and your death shall be swift.” He said, and the four began to circle Deadbones, shifting their weapons. Deadbones simply smiled, sliding his long, thin swords from their sheaths.

The golden-armoured maiden struck first. With a shout, she swung her sword at shoulder level at Deadbones, which he deflt ducked under, spinning slightly, kicking the woman’s legs from under her. She fell, tumbling down the hill slightly before managed to regain her footing. Deadbones then picked a new target, dashing at the un-masked of the other pair, only to find his swords stopped a few inches from their target by the other man’s swords. With a grin in his purple eyes, the man said.

“We all knew you’d get the first person. You’re too fast to not. However, you’ve got three of us left, and only two swords…. Oh well.” He twisted his blades, putting them into a position that forced Deadbones to continue to hold them in place, or they would slice him open. With Deadbones’ swords occupied, the masked man stepped behind him, slashing at Deadbones'  chest.  Deadbones twisted, simultaneously moving himself out of the way of both strikes, and keeping his swords in place until the last moment, at which point he was already out of the way.

Quickly, the masked man’s sword was reversed into a back-handed grip, turning the slash now at his partner to a stab behind him, where Deadbones was currently standing. The blade sunk into the mans flesh, but with Deadbones’ momentum, he had moved beyond the blades reach within a second, making the cut less than an inch deep, and therefore ineffective.

Down the hill, the maiden’s green eyes began to glow, turning the color of the golden, sun-like armour, and shining brightly. A smile crossed her lips, and she lowered her body-size kite shield quickly, gazing directly at the man currently fighting her teammates. A bright golden light appeared above him, and Deadbones, sensing the energy, looked up. Realizing what was happening, he quickly rolled once down the hill, as the ball of energy descended into a beam, before spreading out slightly as it contacted the ground.

He lifted his eyes to see the final member of the group standing above him, hands above his head, palms touching. With a dangerous grin, he brought his hands down in an arc, fire following slightly outside them. Deadbones tried to move out of the way, but the goggled man was too fast. The fire spread across Deadbones’ face, burning him and making him fall unconscious from the pain.

He woke to his upper body being tied to a rock. He looked around, seeing the two of males standing in front of him, and the second pair slightly further down the hill. He tried to move, but could only move his arm a fraction, and was firmly held in place otherwise. Grinning, me moved his arm that fraction, latching onto a potion bottle held in his belt. He pulled the black liquid back, the purple swirls inside it moving with the bottle.

As he pulled it as far back as he could, he quickly jerked his arm forward, flinging the bottle at the pair farther away from him, so that he would not be caught in the blast. At one of the men’s shouts, the woman turned towards the summit. Seeing the bottle, she raised her large shield, pushing Vechs aside. The bottle shattered on contact with the shield, and a second afterward he maiden was on the ground, screaming in pain. The goggled man, now looking back from his shove-turned-roll, saw her shaking violently, and began to panic.

“Aurey!” He yelled, rushing over. When he arrived she was very pale, and her eyes had rolled up inside her head, but she was still screaming. “No! No, no, no, no, no.” He suddenly grabbed onto her, and then slammed his fist against the bright blue circle on his chest. Their bodies faded out of existence, only to reappear quite far away, in his base.

“What did you do her?” The purple-eyed man growled at Deadbones, placing his sword against the tied man’s throat.

“Harming potion infused with dragon’s blood. Most powerful harming potion in existence…” He started to be cut off by the sword against his throat, but he continued. “And d’you want to know the best part? It psycically ties the victim to the user, so if you kill me, she dies!” Deadbones laughed hoarsely as the sword was pulled away from his neck. He stopped as the third man began talking.

“Milk! Get milk!” He was saying while his two fingers were pressed against his forehead, obviously using some form of telepathy. This set Deadbones chuckling again, as milk would indeed stop the physical pain, but the potion could do much more than that. In fact, the metal attack might better serve his purpose.

Meanwhile, halfway across the kingdom and deep underground, the goggled man was doing the same thing. He had already been trying to find a bucket of the white liquid before he had gotten the message, but increased his speed when he did. He quickly slipped the milk into her mouth, and she stopped shaking. However, as she did, her eyes seemed to dilate, turning completely black.

“Vetch? Where’d you go? Vechs?” Aurey called out turning her head from side to side, even thought she still appeared to be unable to move.

“I’m here.” Vechs responded soothingly.

“Vechs? Vechs, where are you?” Aurey continued to ask. She continued to do so, no matter what Vechs did. With a concerned expression, he continued to hold her, looking at her now blank face.

Aurey wasn’t quite sure what was going on. She was walking in a strange place that seemed to be made of endless darkness, and yet she could see perfectly. It was like she could see, but there was nothing to see. She wasn’t sure what was happening, and it was hard to think, but she knew that she was supposed to find Vechs. Or he was supposed to be there... Or something.

“Vechs? Ve-echs?” She called, continuing to wander in the darkness, but no-one came. She continued like this for a while, waiting for him to come.

“He isn’t coming.” A dark voice whisper from over her shoulder. She turned, but saw no-one. “He’s abandoned you.” The voice continued, and the it said it, she felt an odd compulsion to believe him. “He’d have come by now, wouldn’t he?” It said, still behind her shoulder, but not there either. Eventually, she found herself beginning to believe the whisperer, as Vech hadn’t appeared in what seemed like days. Suddenly, a man in a dark robe appeared in front of her, but where his head should have been, there was a skull.

“Vechs has left you… Come with me.” The man said, in the same voice as the whisperer. “My name is Deadbones. You’ll be safe here.” He said in his smooth, persuading voice. Aurey knew that name from somewhere, but she couldn’t place it, it was still so hard to think. She started to walk with the skull-man, as she trusted him for some reason. They continued walking for a while, until she came to a point where she stopped dead, like she’d hit an invisible wall.

“Oh dear…” Deadbones began. “It seems you don’t have permission to step through…”

“W-What do I have to do get get in?” Aurey asked hesitantly, both because her voice was heavy with disuse and because it was still just so hard to think.

“Sign this.” Was Deadbones' simple reply. She hazily grabbed the book and signed the bottom, and stepped through the boundary. However, when she did, she seemed to appear somewhere completely different. she was surrounded by red stone and fire, and she could see a large lava lake in the distance.

“Wha-Where?” Aurey mumbled, her ability to think starting to return.

“Welcome to Hell!” Deadbones pronounced happily, spreading his arms out. “Also, I’m sorry to break it to you, but you just sold away your soul. And I’m here to collect.” He finished, grinning deviously. Suddenly, white arcs of light began to pass from Aurey’s chest to Deadbones’. As Aurey screamed, Deadbones tilted his head back slightly, and closed his eyes, fading into the bliss… Until it stopped. Deadbones looked up to see Vechs standing between him and Aurey, interrupt the connection.

“Degigdeb… Wh-How?” Deadbones stuttered, his brain starting to dumb as the part of Aurey’s soul he had taken returned to her.

“You’re not the only Hellkin in these parts Deadbones. You can have your souls, but not her.” Vechs growled, settling into an animalistic stance, eyes glowing red and fire starting to appear around his body in patterns that formed something that resembled how fur would on a humanoid Werewolf.

“She’s the purest I’ve seen in… I don’t even remember. I’ taking her, even if a have to go through you. Sorry pal.” Deadbones responded, his robes turning to actual darkness, as well as at the bottom splitting into many triangle-shaped pieces, which began to curve upward. He exhaled deeply, before leveling one of his arms at Vechs, extending his ring and middle fingers. A beam of darkness shot from them, heading directly for Vechs’ heart. However, as it hit, the flame in that area flared slightly, and the beam seemed to have no effect.

Vechs charged at Deadbones, who simply teleported a few feet to the right, and fired another beam, to a similar level of in-effectiveness. They continued this dance for a while, neither seeming fazed by the experience at all. A stalemate formed, as Deadbones was unable to hurt Vechs, and Vechs unable to catch Deadbones. This lasted for a while, until Deadbones voiced as such.

“We appear to be at a stalemate. Neither can hurt the other. I suggest you give up, I can wait here forever.” Deadbones said in his persuasive voice, but it was tinged with hostility.

“As could I.” Vechs responded, smiling. “But I don’t have to.”

“What are you talking about?” Deadbones asked, slightly unnerved by Vechs’ confidence.

“See, Aurey will only be here for, say, another two minutes. And because you took her soul and she got it back, if she leaves, you will have no claim on it.” Vechs said, before rushing at Deadbones again, in an attempt to not allow him to act on the new information, that Vechs had revealed because he knew he could hold the stalemate. He kept Deadbones on the run until they heard the distinct popping sound of someone leaving the Nether.

Deadbones released a savage growl, the darkness in his robes beginning to fill the entire cavern. Everywhere except for a small circle around Vechs, who’s fire pushed the darkness back. Soon, the darkness faded to somewhere else, much as Deadbones had. Vechs began the chant to exit, wondering if Aurey would even remember what had happened.

Nice! Too bad you ended it there. Kind of wanted to see what would happen. Anyways, I'm working late for the debut of a new project coming tomorrow. (Not story based, you'll just have to see. >:D)

Yes. My mother is a psychologist, and my brother is on the autism spectrum, so i'm used to weirdness like that sentence and I understand the psychology of what you're saying.

Go Seven! Moar action all the time. I have a single complaint, and you probably know what it is.

...

I want your weapons to be amazing and not generic swords and such. But at least it was awesome and badass and stuff. I see the effort you made, so really don't take that to heart. So anyway, nice job!

Of course it was. I just like ma weaponry. Shields are cool and all, but swords and axes and lances and things like that are where it's at
