Power Down Chapter 6: The translater might have a few bugs...

mindcrackloveBAM! I am on FIRE! I want to get as much of this out before my trip. Enjoy!
"Ahhhh!" Vechs and Aureylian screamed. They both dived in opposite directions to avoid the lamppost crushing them.
"How is that thing moving?" Aureylian asked.
"Don't question it, just kill it!"
Aureylian got a vial out of her shrinkbag and clutched it in her fist. The next time that lamp swung at her, she poured it over the middle of the post. The acid made a hissing noise, and almost completely dissolved the middle of the post. A blast from Vechs' plasma gun finished it off.
Vechs looked at Aureylian. "Wow. Got any more of that stuff?"
"The acid? Yea, I'm a chemist. I've got tons of the stuff."
"Do chemists usually carry that stuff around?"
Aureylian laughed. "Nope! I figured we might need it."
"Glad you did. Hey, there's something coming out of that lamppost!"
Out of the box that looked like some sort of battery box at the bottom, a 6" tall little robot came out!
"Awww, it's so cute!" Aureylian said as she walked up to the thing.
"Aureylian, that was in the lamp that tried to kill us!"
"He looks said. What's wrong, little guy?"
Immediately, the thing began emitting beeps and flying around.
"I think it's trying to tell us something. It's speaking in binary!" Vechs said.
"Can you translate?"
"I can try. It's saying, 'Hello. I am eats-a-bunch. He's from a far away orange, and his race is in trouble so an evil elephant can make fanfiction be written by salad.'"
Aureylian burst out laughing. "I think your translator may have a few bugs."
Vechs scratched the back of his neck. "Yea, just maybe. Hang on, let me make a few adjustments."
Vechs tinkered with his glasses. "There we go. So his name is Yapper. He is from a far away planet made of pure metal. His race is being enslaved by an evil man who wants to turn their incredible power source into a tool used to conquer the world."
Aureylian frowned. "That makes more sense, but I don't like it. Why was he in a lamppost?"
Vechs adjusted his goggles as the thing began talking again. "Apparently he was a test to see how much of their energy could be harnessed."
"That's sad. How do we save them?"
"Apparently they're all trapped somewhere. He's one of the only ones put in a machine. I can feel raw energy emitting from him. We need to get him back home."
Suddenly, Paul ran into them. "What happened here? I heard a scream and..." He stopped, just now taking notice of the floating robot.
"Oh, you just missed the lampocolypse and us talking to his little guy." Vechs said, gesturing at the robot. "He has an incredible amount of energy within him. So much so that he can make inanimate objects move!"
"We have to get it back home!"
The thing beeped a bunch of times, sounding desperate. Vechs frowned. "He's just saying 'Save them, samve them' over and over..."
The robot nodded.
"Well we should save them, then! Come on!" Aureylian ran off towards the tallest building. Vechs and Paul exchanged a glance. Vechs shrugged and then followed. Paul followed after Vechs, who had the robot beside him. This would be interesting.
Well, that's it! Sorry it's kind of short. I want to get as much out before my trip. So yea! Anyways, see you next time!
