Couple (exactly two actually) of questions...

Okay, still new here, so I have a couple of (probably quite derpy) questions.

First: Can you do a cut from mobile? I've been writing a fic on my phone in my spare time, and it'd be easier to just post it from my phone.

Second: I could use a beta. Okay, fine, it's not a question. But is there anyone who could help me out in that department? I'm not in terrible need, and could do without, but I get paranoid that when I write I sound like a mad man.

to Q1: I have no idea. you could always post it form mobile then go to the PC to edit and add the cut in then....

Btw, you don't need cuts on anything but very lengthy posts or actual fics. So don't worry about reminding everyone all the time! They're doing it right. :P

Yes, you can add cuts on mobile. Paste your story into the HTML editor, not the rich text one. Add < cut > to the start of and < /cut > (take out the spaces!) to the end of the fic.

You can always ask around for a beta. Plenty of people are willing to help out around here. There is also a beta service going to be launched in a couple weeks or so, you could try searching for one there. You're under no obligations to use it, of course. :)

For names: can't really offer you much help in that because names really do need to fit the plot and environment, so I could probably suggest some but only if I knew the context.

It's best not to wait 'till later for cuts. If you don't put a cut on your fic there's a good chance a mod will go in there and delete it.

When in html mode, doing < cut> at the start of the fic, then < /cut> at the end of the fic, without the space after the first <.

assuming things are the same, you'll probably be in html mode on mobile. If you are put (cut) before text and (/cut) after the text except using < and > instead of the ( and )

I meant by using the cut button on the toolbar. its what I always use.
