Unfortunately I haven't been terribly caught up on Mindcrack this week and thus don't have all too much to comment on. I haven't even found time to listen to the podcast. :(
What I can say, though, is that I'm 90% sure Seth is trying to grow a beard. With a new habit of frequent livestreams with face cams, Seth has continued to grow the facial hair, much to the delight of many admirers. Feel free to squee about such below.
Guude's continued to work on the UHC monument over the week which is wonderful as hearing the stories of the mindcrackers and seeing them actually on the vanilla server is great. :D It's really cute to see them intereact with Guude.
TheJIms, also seems to be making a return, having already streamed more than twice with plans to stream more often. I can't help but think that maybe the remiving of him from the subreddit sidebar may have been a little too soon. I also must say that he does have a rather pleasant voice and because of their smaller size, his livestreams are more personal and inclusive. If you see him streaming, I highly recommend you go check him out.
And with Vech's very obvious mentions of salad and push for fanfiction, there's been a huge wave of new members to the salad so a big welcome to you all. Dreamwidth can be confusing and joining a new community can be intimidating, and as someone on tumblr asked for a bit of help and I feel many other users are in a similar situation, ! think it's a good idea for me to share my advice and help that I gave that new user. Check it out here. Also be sure to read the rules found here and check out some of the posts in the FAQ. When tagging (please remember to use tags) also make sure that your tags match exactly to those found in the tags list on the sidebar and that they are separated by commas so that they work. Also feel free to read up on some of the ore recent sunday chat posts found in the chat post tag for some more info for new members. (I really should make up a doc or post with new info for new members.)
On a more serious note and in light of happenings on tumblr: Tumblr and Salad are not the same community and what happens on tumblr does not involve what happens on Salad unless the Salad is explicitly mentioned. You know who you are, anon, but if someone on tumblr talks about ships and fiction and doesn't mention the Salad, then you do not need to bring Salad into that conversation. Mindcrack fanfiction and shipping does extend beyond the Salad so please respect that fact and do not cross those lines especially when calling yourself forward as a representative of the Salad. People also have the right to express their dislike of like of a ship.
And since the nature of some of the popular ships have been brought up in conversation, I feel I should mention that it is not okay to portray an abusive or unhealthy relationship as normal. If you portray an abusive or unhealthy relationship in your fics, please expressedly state that it is unhealthy and do not pass it off as healthy. Doing so is dangerous to those in such abusive situations as normalising abusive relationships is not okay.
Sorry for the serious rantyness but it does have to be said.
On a less negative note, I shall be revising the team for the Salad Files Project and am thus in need of new members. Before volunteering, take note of the following:

- I am looking for people who already know how the SFP works and understand the systems and formats used.
- You must have the guaranteed free time and reasonable dedication to assure that you are able to put in work both immediately and on a consistent basis (within reason). Do not volunteer if you know that you won't have the time or won't have the motivaton and effor to regularly contribute.
- You must have Skype and be a member of at least one of the main Salad Skype chats. (If you regularly interact on the DW site I may be able to make an exception to being a member of the group Skype chats.)
