Before you read, I want to say that this is based on a creepy pasta I read. Last of the Sparks, enjoy :)

About three years ago, I started this server. It grew so quickly. I opened a book store to sell all my unused books to people who needed them. Three years had come and gone; the Mindcrackers had come to buy and sell and for once I wasn't feeling stressed.

In the summer of 2013 was when he walked into the shop. He stepped out of the humid air and into my air-conditioned shop. He walked towards my desk with a few small bags in his hands. He had a hoodie which covered his face pretty well. When he lifted his head to speak- his eyes were a bright white. It seemed he was in a hurry when he slammed the bags on the counter.

“Take these.”

I took a peek inside the bag to see a selection of the most rarest enchantments ever.

“Do you want anything for them?” I asked.

“No, they're yours to keep.”

The air in the shop was beginning to become a state of uneasiness for me. All I saw when I looked into his eyes was emptiness.

“Are you sure you don't want anything for them?”

“I'm positive.” the stranger nods slightly before turning away from me.

“Oh... Thanks guy! What is your name by the way?”

“Herobrine.” the stranger smirked.

That name, I thought it sounds so familiar. I was too busy thinking why the name sounded so familiar, and I didn't notice him turn around and walk out of my shop.

I found it strange that someone would give away such rare enchantments, but I guess some people are too generous. I went home early that night and took the bag of books with me. I piled the books on my coffee table and surprisingly they were in great condition. When reading through them, these enchantments and other books were not as I remembered.

The first enchantment I started to read through was feather falling. The description was not as I remembered it to be.

The next few books were disturbing for me. The illustrations were gruesome, it was so detailed that I was beginning to question humanity.

At the bottom of the pile, there was a book that I never heard of before. Last of the Mindcrackers. Reading the title sent chills down my spine.

On the front cover was 26 items, each item describing the Mindcrack members. I noticed at the top was the sell-by date on it- 12/31/13. I hesitantly opened it to the beginning: Chapter 1- PauseUnpause. I swallowed hard reading Pause's name. I felt ever so terrified making my way through the chapter. It seemed to describe Pause's normal routine for the day; until the last page. Pause was in a cave with Beef and they were doing their normal caving routine. A creeper came up behind Pause and was killed instantly by the explosion.

I put the book down, not wanting to go any further into the book. I felt panicked and scared. I went straight to bed thinking It's just a book.

The next morning when I got to work, I felt my stomach flip flop. Lunch time seemed to help a bit. But then the phone rang. I picked it up to answer to hear Beef crying- I cursed at myself for even picking up the book. I closed the shop and ran over to Beef's to comfort him.

After a couple of weeks; Me, Bdubs and Etho each took turns looking after Beef. A few months later I picked up Last of the Mindcrackers again. I opened it to the next chapter: Chapter 2- VintageBeefed. It was a lot similar to Pause's story... but I got to the part where Beef was on his castle's tower, building when a skeleton shot him off and fell to the ground with a loud thud. I jumped when I heard my phone ring. I didn't bother touching it knowing the news on the other end. I couldn't get up, my body was too numb with fear.

I got out my black suit and tie out once again. After the funeral for Beef, I refused to read the book. If I stop reading this book then the deaths would stop right? But the day before Thanksgiving 2013, I got a call from Vechs. Zisteau and Kurt were on their normal walk at nigh. They weren't looking where they were walking and fell into a ravine. They died instantly. I threw my phone at my closed bedroom door and fell onto the bed crying. I picked up the book to read chapter 3. Everything Vechs said was described perfectly.

I fell asleep with the book laying on my chest. I checked out who is the next to be gone and hopefully warn them. I turned to Chapter 4- Team DOOKE. I rushed through the chapter as fast as I could. The remainder of team DOOKE was in the Nether and a ghast shot the netherrack from under their feet, falling into the lava below. They had a group meeting that night, so I went over to Etho's base to warn them about going into the Nether, but they only laughed and told me I was too paranoid.

They were burnt to a crisp a few days later. The deaths kept coming: first Baj and Millbee, then Nebris, and etc. Til it was only me. I was on the final chapter – Chapter 26- Guude. I decided to wait to read the last chapter.

The next few weeks came by fast. I've lost all interest in reading and I'd become more stressed then before. I kept questioning why did he give me these books? All I know is that it will be over soon.

I read the final chapter. It's 12/31/13 and I'm staring at my book store's doors, waiting for him to come; that is the way it ends... or so I've read.
