So in Etho's latest Mindcrack episode he mentioned how his name was in the Death Games chest when Nebris came online, and thought Nebris would come and get him, but he didn't. This is what could've happened if Nebris had come to get Etho, if that makes sense. Enjoy!
Nebris quickly threw the Armour of Justice on and grabbed the sword and bow. He could've sworn Etho named the equipment that to get at him, to encourage him to play. But now Etho's name was in the chest. It was his turn. He stepped into the Nether Portal and teleported to the nether.
Finally arriving at Etho's worker shack, Nebris hid behind the nearest wall. "Ok, strength and speed potions. Check. Use them now..." Nebris continued muttering to himself, organising his inventory and preparing himself for the fight he was determined to win. Sure, Etho would get his own back, and it wouldn't be pretty, but for once Nebris felt like he could win the fight. There was a distant twang and an arrow landed next to Nebris. He slapped his hand in front of his mouth to stop a startled cry. Upon examining the arrow, Nebris could see a note attached. It read:
Thought you would come, next time try shifting.
-Etho
Nebris crouched instantly. "Damnit Etho, you never give me a chance, do you?" A low chuckle came from outside the shack. Nebris readied his bow and checked his arrows. "Let's finish this." Nebris ran through the hallway, pushing though the gates and the end. Two arrows thudded into the wall beside him. He drew his bow and shot towards the telltale blue glint of diamond armour in the trees. There was a pleasant ping! sound.
"Well done Nebris, it seems you've improved."
Nebris ran towards the voice, shooting more arrows. "It has been a while"
"Too long perhaps? Have you missed fighting with me?"
That question caught Nebris off guard. An arrow embedded itself into his thigh. He cursed and fired another arrow. "Yes, I have. But the odds are in your favour right now."
"Indeed they are, maybe I should make it easier, since you obviously can't handle it."
"Of course I can handle it!" Nebris retorted, firing three arrows which all found their mark. "Need to get closer..." He muttered. He glimpsed the flash of an arrow headed towards his face and ducked. He reached for another arrow but his hand came back empty. "Damnit!"
"What's wrong Nebris? Finally realised that you will never win?"
"No, I just realised where you are!" Nebris charged towards the source of all the arrows, dodging and ducking as he ran. He brought his sword down on Etho's sword with a clash.
"You still won't win, and you know it. No potion will help you enough."
Nebris slashed angrily. "I'm going to slash that smirk off your face!"
Clash! Clang!
"That's the spirit!"
Clash! Thud!
Nebris sword finally found its mark, lodging in a chink in Etho's armour. Etho yanked it out and quickly threw a instant health potion. He threw Nebris' sword gracefully, making sure it landed right next to Nebris. Nebris scowled. He hated how Etho was so graceful in battle, but at the same time admired it. He picked up the sword and went to strike again, but found he couldn't. He couldn't win against Etho and weirdly he didn't want to. Nebris lowered his sword. "I yield."
"Very well, I hope we get to do this again sometime, it's fun." Etho turned away.
"Why are you... How are you..."
Etho turned back. "What?"
"How are you always on top? How to you make me admire you and hate at the same time? How do you do this to me?"
Etho planted a kiss on Nebris cheek. "Only because I prepare so well. There's really not all that much in it. And the rest of it..." He shrugged. "You're doing that to yourself. Of course attack each other with swords all the time isn't exactly a peaceful relationship..." Etho turned and enderpearled away before Nebris could respond.
