Nice Costume

mindcrackloveOKay! Haven't done this is a while, but hello everyone! I am not dead! :D
So, as pretty much all of you know, the mindcrack marathon was this weekend, and several of us saladers were on the server. So... there was this point when... I won't say actually, it would kinda spoil the fic :/ :P.
This is based off events that actually happened (though not everything in this story happened :/ ) , soo.... I guess. Have some Rose x Beef in ya face!

Rose took a deep breath as she walked back into the main lobby. Her new costume felt a bit weird, and some people were stopping and looking at her, but she wore it regardless. She wanted to show her appreciation for the Mindcrackers, so she wore it with some pride. Ice came in later, doing the same thing wearing a pigman hoodie so Rose didn’t feel so awkward.
She looked up and saw some of the guys flying around the roof. Pause, with his Minecon cape trailing behind him; Guude flying low to monitor the donations; and Beef, flying around looking at all the fans with his signature smile.
That’s when something caught Beef’s eye. Upon looking through the crowded floors, he spotted something peculiar. He flew down, landing on the floor with a soft thud. His thoughts were confirmed. There was a girl there in his attire. Well, sort of his attire, she got the blood on the apron right, and the pants and shoes. She turned away, not noticing him apparently, which revealed the rose design on the back of her shirt. When she did turn back to face him, he saw the little purple bow in her hair. Cute.
When she saw Beef, her face almost instantly flushed a soft pink color and she looked down. Some people were starting to crowd Beef then as well, since he had landed on the ground. But Beef ignored them and walked over to Rose, curious but wearing a smile on his face regardless.
Rose tried to keep to herself, but that was definitely not working when she was Beef coming towards her, smiling. She looked up, beginning to back away out of shyness. Beef only smiled and came closer, bowing his head as a greeting. Rose was convinced at that point that her face had gone cherry red. She didn’t really know how to react. Should I bow my head too? Wait, he’s still coming closer. What’s going on? What should I do! Oh my god!
That’s when Beef called to the other guys, “Hey, guys come look, there’s a female Beef over here.” The other Mindcrackers turned there heads, but didn’t pay much mind. The fans on the other hand rushed over to Beef, seeing that he was on the ground walking around. Beef turned back to Rose and gave her another smile. He saw her face go an even brighter shade, but he didn’t really care. He held out his hand and said, “Hey. The name’s Beef.”
Rose looked at his hand, then at his face, slowly and shakily extending her own hand. “My name’s Rose.” She said a bit quietly, overtaken by her nervousness to speak louder. Beef took her hand, shaking it. “Nice to meet you, Rose.” He gave her a small wink before releasing her hand. “Nice costume.” At that point, they were swarmed by fans, to the point where they could barely see each other. Beef smiled and still tried to make his way closer, so he could see her costume again.
More people were surrounding them, and the moment was starting to flee. Rose started to feel light-headed, as the sounds of footsteps suddenly became more muted. She could hear the Mindcrackers talking about going to one of the other servers, and so people were filing out of the lobby, but she herself was having a bit of a hard time moving. Rose could feel herself start to sway a bit, her hand holding onto the last touches of warmth from Beef’s hand. Her vision started to blur as she heard a distant call of her name. Everything went black.

”I think she’s coming to. I saw her eyes twitch a bit.” Rose could hear voices far off in the distance. They were slowly getting louder, and more recognizable. Her eyes were being very stubborn about opening, and so they opened very slowly. At first her vision was a bit blurry, but then after a blink everything was clear. Ice and Polly were looking over Rose with worried looks on their faces. Then there was a third face as well. A bearded face. Rose’s eyes blinked again and opened wide. At that point she also felt a pad underneath her head, and saw that the bearded man was no longer wearing an apron. She sat up quickly, but was immediately overcome with the feeling of motion after being still for a while.
“Woah now, take it easy, Rose. You fainted.” Beef said, putting a hand on her shoulder to stabilize her. “You okay?” He asked, a tone of genuine concern in his voice. Rose looked at him, saw how close his face was to hers, and nodded as her words would not be functioning properly. Beef smiled and stood up, helping Rose up to her feet as well. “That’s good. At least you’re okay now.” He said with a smile. “In any case, it was nice to meet you.”
Rose blushed a bright red, pretty certain she was going to faint again. “Th-thanks. It was nice meeting you, Beef.” Rose managed to say, finally getting a hold of her words.
“No problem. Anytime, Rose.” Beef said with a wink. “I’m gonna see if I can catch up with the other guys. You should take it easy for a bit, but when you can, feel free to join us.” Beef said, picking his apron back off the ground and putting it on. Rose struggled to find words as she watched him tie the apron securely around his body. “I see you guys later then.” Beef said, turning to walk out of the lobby.
“Wai-“ Rose managed to get out. Beef turned back to look. “Th-thank you again, Beef, for… helping me…” she stuttered on her words. Beef smiled back. “No problem,” He said again, “and by the way, nice costume. You got the blood stains just right.” Rose smiled, blushing at the praise. “I like the bow in your hair too,” Beef continued with a wink. “It’s cute.” With that, he was off, leaving Rose with Ice, Polly, and some others that were lingering in the lobby.
Once Beef was out of their vision, Rose turned around to face her two friends. “Rose,” Ice began, wondering whether Rose was okay based on her expression. “D-did that just happen, guys?” Rose asked in response. Ice and Polly exchanged a quick glance before both nodding. “Can… you guys…be ready to catch me?” A faint smile crept onto her face as her brain began to process what had just happened. Beef…just… Rose could feel her head becoming lighter again. Had gravity not been a factor she probably would’ve floated out the window in her bliss, instead of falling forward into the arms of her friends.
Rose approved of this :P
