Fanfic - Dreams - Chapter 14
Saturday, August 31st, 2013 04:14 pmIt's the last chapter!
What did you all think? Was it enjoyable? What didn't you like, what did you like? What didn't make sense? What might you want to be touched on in the sequel (yes I'm writing a sequel)?
Thank you all for reading!
When I opened my eyes, it was like nothing had changed. We still hovered wordlessly in front of the code, though Dinnerbone scanned the wall of text and found the out-of-place line once more. At the tap of his fingers, it disappeared.
“If we went to the right time, and that was the right code, then this should’ve worked.” He held out his hand, which I grabbed. The glowing blue returned and we were deposited unceremoniously onto the ground inside the Town Hall.
“It’s the right time.” I said, climbing back to my feet. “I think. Nothing seems off. Nothing’s here that shouldn’t be, or missing.”
“Good.” Dinnerbone had seemed fine while we were in the code, but now I could see that his face was turning a sickly shade of green. “I’m never time traveling again, even in the TARDIS.”
Almost at the mention of the world, the telephone box appeared next to us, crashing loudly into the floor and making us each jump.
The door swung open, revealing a bald man in a red-shirted Star Trek uniform. He grabbed onto Dinnerbone’s arm, pulling him up from the floor with ease. “C’mon! Where’ve you been, we’ve got places to go!”
“Marla-” DB’s protest was cut off as the TARDIS vanished once more, this time with both its passengers.
I looked outside the Town Hall and into the spawn area, where Guude was waiting. He kept tapping his foot in what seemed like annoyance. Carefully, I approached him.
“Big day, huh?” He turned to me with a raised eyebrow.
“If you could call it that. Every time someone new comes by, that’s what it seems like.”
“Good luck with him, I guess.”
I wanted to stay around, but after all we’d - I’d - been through, I couldn’t make myself face Vechs again just yet.
I entered the Nether portal, eager to return home and get back to work on my Death Starter house. I hadn’t worked on it in five years, and I was more than ready to continue it.
Things might be okay, in the end. I had more than enough questions to ask, but I’d ask them later, after I’d slept and taken a shower. After this whole adventure went back to seeming like nothing but a dream.

If it was a dream, then I suppose it was time to wake up.
