Fic: Gone insane

mindcrackloveUmm... This was a prompt by Damnreddit and I think I took it a little to far so warning this is sad and has a bit of death in it. I made a alternate ending for this with 100% less death if you'd like me to tack that on at the end just let me know anyways, enjoy...

"No... they won't hurt you. I'll keep you safe my little breaches" Etho whispered protectively to his TnT. "They know what they've done! It was fine! I was fine till... No I'm fine now with my breaches" Cackling Etho.

"Beef?! What happens now? What do we do about Etho" Pause whispered. Beef looked at the man who helped him drive Etho to insanity and replied "I don't know."
"Well... Well... what pushed him into the deep end? Do you know?" Pause asked. Beef tried to remember the last few days on the map.

"has anyone ever told you're an amazing person" Pause asked Beef while he crafted. "No you haven't" Beef huffed.
"Well then you're an amazing person" Pause told him confidently. Beef turned around blushing "aww you come here let's kiss" he grabbed Pause and they kissed making smooching sounds.
Etho who had been silent for this conversation snorted and told them "You should be glad I have my back to you two." Giggling Pause swatted at Etho who dodged and started walking towards the next intersection.

After they had finished recording. Pause grabbed Beef's arm and dragged him over to the corner. Mumbling "C'mere..." Beef went with him looking expectantly reviving a kiss for his curiosity. The kiss became more passionate and louder.
Etho came from the bedrock teleporter. Hearing them making out he rolled his eyes then told them "cut it out." In a very annoyed voice. They ignored him and he grew from very annoyed to angry. Glaring at them he walked up and pushed them apart.
"What the hell Etho?!" Yelled Pause grabbing Beef again and continuing their kiss. Etho started to twitch first it was his eyes then it got worst moving all over his body. It was under control right before they broke the kiss looking at him.

It happened... It finally happened the thing Beef and Pause never saw coming. It came.

They had just logged on and found Beef's drippy face on the monument had been covered by item frames. Giggling Etho stood behind him as they started to record.
"Annnnndddd!!! Welcome back everyone. It seems Etho has covered my face." Beef huffed moving so the camera could see it. Pause stood beside him silently laughing.
"We needed to hide the horrible!" Came Etho's response through fits of mad laughter. Pause had stopped laughing but still had a huge smile on his face said "Beef... I think you beautiful no matter what."
Beef winked at him and moved closer "Aww that's sweet. Lets make out" and they closed the gap. That's what did it. That kiss pushed Etho over the edge.
"NOOO!!! YUCK!! I... I.. MAP... KISS... BREACH... YOU... HEEHEE!!" He yelled and ran for a pressure plate.

"Yeah... It was us." Beef replied solemnly. Pause looked at him, Beef looked aged. Etho losing his mind really took a toll on Beef.
"Do you think one of us should go talk to him?" Pause asked slowly inching towards the opening of the blaze spawner Etho had created.
Beef grabbed his arm and looked him in the eyes. "We didn't know how bad he is so if we go in, we go in together but you have to promise to let me talk to him." Nodding they made their way towards the sounds of Etho's deranged coos.
Walking in they were assaulted by the sight of Etho; his hair was missing in places and it looked like he hadn't washed in months even though he had been down there for a few hours. He was bleeding in places and was still muttering to him TNT.
Beef walked in first and Pause right behind him. They tried to be a silent as possible but Etho heard them and growled. Holding up his hands in a sign of peace Beef started to talk "Etho? Etho buddy. It's okay we're not going to hurt you... or make out okay? We just want to talk."
Etho looked at them with hate in his eyes but didn't make any move to get away or attack them so beef continued "Etho we're sorry about making you like this and we'll stop I promise. We just want you to come back to us and finish the map as friends."

Etho glared at the two of them then muttered "you did this to me." Before either of them could react Etho launched him self at Beef, holding a knife. He reached Beef while Pause was standing there frozen in surprise. Screaming "YOU DID THIS TO ME!!" Etho savagely stabbed Beef. Pause came to, grab Etho a threw him across the room.
Kneeling down beside his Beefykins, he mumbled a few words and revived an "I love you and don't hate Etho for this, we made him like this." Before Beef went limp. Muttering to himself he said "fuck that, Etho will pay."
Standing up he saw Etho laying in the corner laughing. He looked over sharply at Pause, who had tears running down his face and looked like he would murder.
Yelling Pause ran a Etho iron sword in hand and as a promise to his dead friend he started to shout at Etho. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT!?!"
Screaming Etho charged at him. "BEEF WAS YOUR FRIEND!! AND YOU KILLED HIM" they fought, neither of them getting the upper hand. So Pause continued to shout at him.
"YOU NEVER KNEW WHAT LOVE IS SO WHENEVER IT WAS SHOWN, YOU DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO REACT SO YOU KILLED HIM!!" Hearing this Etho faltered. Pause knocked his sword away and pushed him to the ground.
Etho's eyes widened and he looked at Pause. "Pause? Pause I'm sorry I didn't mean to." He whispered.
The native had no sympathy to spare. He glanced back at his dead beloved and walked away from Etho. Lifting Beef over his shoulder he turned to Etho a said "Don't bother come back to mindcrack. No one will forgive you for what you've done." With that he walked out, leaving Etho in the cave wallowing in self hate and guilt.

**Hearing that they had caused this he blanched before yelling at them "GET OUT! I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU HERE AGAIN!"
Pause and Beef hesitated and it made Etho madder "I WILL KILL YOU WITH MY BREACHES AND POTIONS! I WILL BLIND YOU WITH MY FIREWORKS! IF YOU DON'T LEAVE NOW!"
They exchanged a glance before bolting for the door. Leaving Etho laughing and cooing again.

A few days later

"Do you think leaving him like that is the best choice?" Pause asked Beef as they placed Bdoubleo's head on the monument.
"No it wasn't the right choice but I don't think he was bluffing about all that stuff and I'm glad to keep you alive." Beef smiled warmly at his friend, who returned his smile before looking concerned "What do you think he's doing now?"
"Oh probably talking to those breaches of his while he sets off fireworks" Beef replied winking making Pause laugh.
And they were right Etho was indeed do just that.
"Oh Breaches, you would never leave me or make out if front of me and I love you for that." He hugged the TNT and set of a few fireworks. Etho giggled and clapped before muttering to himself "I can't believe my friends left me down here alone, with only TNT and fireworks for comfort!"
Still grumbling he set of more fireworks; he clapped and giggled more. Them resumed talking to his Breaches.
