Hi! It's late. I'm tired. (I'm also Mew.) But I'm doing this anyways. I'm doing it. Another project. Before school. Yay. Anyways... Starting to chew on this AU Medieval Fiction Idea. The Beginning!

... Why me? Ugh. Okay remember the prompt of children!Mindcrackers that Lioness put up not too long ago? Well... Just, well. Figure out who the 'father figures' and children are. I'm not using all the Mindcrackers. I might also be messing with the editing... Just a bit. And some Mindcrackers may be OOC. Well... Real people personalities are hard to grasp. We're such a bipolar species...

"Paul! Look out - GET OUT OF THE WAY!"  Vechs roughly shoved the older male out of the way, bringing his sword up in a classic textbook perfect block across his chest as the Creeper exploded. He let out a held breath, adjusting his green goggles. On the floor, Paul blinked.

"That was a very bad time for my sword to break." Paul grimaced, getting up. Vechs grinned, holding out his hand. Paul took it with a nod, unslinging his bow off his back. "Well, I'm not as good as a shot as Pause, but hey, a weapon's a weapon, right? We should think about heading back to the surface as well. We got a decent haul today."

Vechs nodded. "Let's start heading back up to the surface." He turned around, looking at the torches on the cave. He started to follow them back, with Paul following up shortly.

There was an odd silence at the Spawn Village when they arrived. Vechs looked around, confusion on his face. "Why is it so quiet..." He said, jabbing his sword into the dirt. "Something's off..."

Paul, as a veteran tester of Vechs 'sandboxes' knew better than to go against his instinct. He also felt that something was wrong... But it felt like a good kind of wrong? Was that even possible?

"COME BACK HERE YA BUGGER!"

Paul started at the somewhat unfamiliar English/British accent rang through the air. Something darted around the Town Hall, and Paul instinctively drew back his bow and aimed. When he saw what he was aiming at, he all but threw his bow away from his body in shock. Baj thundered around the corner panting.

"Kurt?" Paul gazed down in both shock and wonder as a child that looked suspiciously like Kurt grinned at him, with lopsided, a few sizes too large, 3D glasses on his face.

Kurt grinned mischievously. "You can't catch me!" He giggled, dashing away again. Paul stepped back a few paces, before sitting down.

Baj looked down at Paul wearily. "I come back, and I find this!" He waved his arms around, his beret threatening to fall off of his head. "Kurt, Zisteau, BdoubleO, Pakratt, Shree, Pyro, and Pakratt like this!" He gestured violently, looking like a fish as he tried and failed to say something else. "I can't find the rest of the guys either, except for Guude and Avidya! Etho's completely disappeared off the map, and who knows where Adlington got to."

Paul leapt to his feet suddenly. "Vechs!" He said urgently. "Vechs was just with me! Where'd he go?"

"I'm here."

Paul turned around, Baj looking over Paul's shoulder. Their jaws dropped at the sight of Vechs. He seemed roughly five or six years old, and his goggles hung around his neck, too big to wear properly on his face. Decked out in blue jean shorts, a red t-shirt, and a mini red hard hat, he looked like a miniaturized version of the adult Vechs.

Paul walked over to Vechs, kneeling in front of him. "Vechs, hey," he said quietly. He was still stunned, although he knew children quite well. Oh yes, he knew children all right. And this child - Vechs - looked like he was... About to cry, actually.

"I'm hungry." Paul noticed that Vechs's accent, usually very soft, was actually quite pronounced. But there was no time to dwell on that. If they didn't deal with Vechs quickly, they'd probably have an upset, crying, child on their hands.

"Alright, alright," Paul said quickly. Vechs stared at him with big brown eyes, a small pout on his face. "We'll get you something to eat, we just have to find your friends first, alright?" Vechs blinked, then nodded. He yawned. Instinctively, he picked up the child Vechs. Baj glanced at him curiously. Paul shrugged.

"Have three children. You get used to it after the second child." Baj nodded. "So, where are the others?"

It was a bit of a bigger mess than they had thought. Half the Mindcrackers were children. Young children. And... They didn't know how to make them turn back. According to Guude and Avidya, they had been gathering together to fight another Wither together, but before they could summon the Wither, something strange happened. There had been a great flash of light, and suddenly, Guude was surrounded by children. Avidya had stumbled across them seconds later, and Baj only a few minutes ago.

After just an hour of caring for the 'child-ified' Mindcrackers, it was pretty obvious that Paul was the one most suited to care for children. Avidya had the patience, but not too much of the experience. Guude's daughter was much younger than the current age range seen here, and Baj... Well, Baj didn't deal with children.

Now, they had holed up in BdoubleO's place. Paul had managed to find some blankets, and spread them out in the hallway. But now, they were causing a bit of a ruckus.

Zisteau and Kurt didn't want to sleep. They ran about, running around in the large area that Bdubs had cleared out to build his farming area in. Kurt actually seemed a bit more willing to talk, to put it. He was cheerful, and didn't hesitate to say something or speak his mind. Zisteau was actually the quiet one, who shied behind Kurt half the time. Funny, considering their positions when they were an adult.

BdoubleO was quite similar to how he was normally. He was a bit more reserved and quieter, yes, but he seemed curious in just about everything, and was often caught looking through his building materials. Guude nearly had a heart attack when he had seen his best friend - now seven years old - trying to wield his pickaxe.

At the moment, Pakratt, Pyro, and Shree were asleep, curled up together on a blanket. It was actually quite cute. Pyro actually wore a dragon costume, and the mouth flopped over his face as he snoozed quietly. Shree had stolen half the blankets, curled up on his side. Pakratt (who also seemed to be the oldest, at an estimated eight,) didn't mind half a bit, snuggling closer to Pyro for warmth.

Paul had to grin at the sight. But there was still the question of Zisteau, Kurt, Bdubs, and Vechs...

"Vechs, stop messing with that! You could hurt yourself!" Baj pulled Vechs away from the furnaces, guiding him back to Paul, Avidya, and Guude. Vechs pouted, scowling. He touched his goggles as he sat in the corner huffily. Paul grinned at him, before snapping his fingers. (Quietly, of course.)

"I know! How about a story?" That caught their attention. Zisteau and Kurt were already captivated by the word 'story', Bdubs seemed mildly interested, and Vechs was sneaking peeks from his corner. After a moment, he inched closer to hear better. Baj sighed, while Guude and Avidya got up to scout around the building once more, to make sure they were absolutely safe.

Paul rubbed his hands together. He would have some fun with this story. He cleared his throat. "Alright, so this is how this story goes...

~*~

Once upon a time, there were three great Kingdoms. Those three Kingdoms had three great rulers - two Kings, and one Queen. One King was named Guude. He had a reputation of being a kind and strong ruler who cared for his subjects and all those below him. The other King was named Vechs. He was not as kind as Guude, hardly that. Vechs could be called 'evil', yes, but he always had a soft spot for animals and his closest friends that redeemed him.

Those Kingdoms, ruled by King Guude and King Vechs, were mostly male dominated. Most of the female population in both Kingdoms were composed of peasants, but in the Kingdom ruled by Queen Kawa, it was the other way around.

Queen Kawa was a generous and much loved Queen. She never hesitated to mingle among her subjects, and often helped them build up her Kingdom. Her Kingdom thrived and flourished, and soon, they matched up to the forces of King Guude and King Vechs.

But now, the two Kingdoms that belonged to King Guude and King Vechs were at war. There had been some talk among Queen Kawa's subjects, that a person named Bdubs had betrayed King Guude, and scampered over to King Vechs Kingdom and told him the secrets of King Guude. It was well known that Bdubs was King Guude's best friend. It was no wonder that King Guude was both distraught and outraged at this.

Thus, the two Kingdoms started fighting. King Vechs had strategy, King Guude had brute strength. But both were at a stand still. Neither could over power the other. Currently, King Vechs had the worst end of it. King Guude would stop at nothing to recover Bdubs - and possibly kill him, if rumors were true.

Queen Kawa's Kingdom could tip the scales for either side. But her own Kingdom was in turmoil, from the inside out. Half of her loyal subjects supported King Guude. The other half argued for King Vechs. But Queen Kawa would hear neither side out, until they agreed.

The question always sat heavily on their mind. Who was in the right? Was it King Guude, because he got betrayed? King Vechs had no obvious hand in Bdubs betrayal, though. So was it wrong to wrong him so quickly?

~*~

"But I didn't do anything wrong, did I?"

Paul smiled at Vechs, who had slowly been moving closer throughout the story. Bdubs glanced over at Guude questioningly, who had returned about halfway through it. He slowly turned his head back to Paul, who ruffled Bdubs's hair. He scowled slightly, but remained seated.

"Of course not, Vechs." This Vechs reminded him slightly of his youngest son. "It's just a story. But it's not over yet - do you want to know what happened with the Kingdoms?"

Kurt nodded vigorously. "Yeah!" He said, while Zisteau merely nodded. Paul settled back a bit more comfortably.

"Alright... So, In King Guude's Kingdom..."
