And You Thought I Would Forget - Sunday Chat!!!

Nothing too crazy happening on the mindcrack agenda this previous week. Except for the mindcraft (oops I actually wrote that as mindcraft the first time. I think I've been watching too much mindcrack lately) industrial revolution with the new slime blocks, a certain German twerking in lederhosen, and Millbee joining in on the gmod shenanigans.
As for salad, we've recently reached our 300 MEMBER MILESTONE WOOOO. Gee. I say this every time but I remember the days when we were anxiously awaiting out 100th member.
With that, I'll take this opportunity to direct some of our newer members to the FAQ and the Rules. As well as to remind people to tag their fics appropriately and to use correct age barriers. Whilst there's yet to be an official guideline for using them, I recommend blood, gore, and explicit language go under nsfw as well as mild sexual references. More extreme gore and if the pants start coming off or more than 18+. Also don't be afraid to make a post asking for someone to beta your fics if you want to improve writing. Prompt posts and chat posts about anything interesting and mindcrack are also cool things to do.
And as newer members may not know, a lot of the salad community happens beyond the dreamwidth. We have super active skype groups (both sfw and nsfw) and if any of you are interested to join, add me as a contact on skype (my skype name is - and I'll add you to the sfw chat and if you specify, the nsfw chat. Too many people don't hear about it, but we also do this thing called Fun Friday. This happens 9pm EST every Friday where people get into a skype call together and do a whole range of things from the Building Game, Playmindcrack Derpage, dramatic fic readings, sometimes CTM maps, and sometimes we just do our things and chat like a bunch of friends normally would. When Friday comes along, be sure to ask to be added to teh Fun Friday chat if you're interested.
We also have a whitelisted salad server, although it's recommended that you hand around a bit more and interact with the community, especially the people in the skype chats before you ask about joining. However, if you are interested in joining, this doc lists the rules and a general FAQ on how it's run. Note that we will be resetting the map when 1.8 is released.
Salad members are also invited to join the Tumblrcrack server if you wish to. There is a pretty extensive and interesting side of the mindcrack fandom on tumblr and many saladers have tumblr accounts so it may be something you might like to look into.
Mr Ubiquitous was a thing that was posted. And an old member popped in to write about it :3
