Fanfic - Haze
Friday, May 10th, 2013 04:56 amThis is totally not the third chapter in the MC fic. Oh yeah, sister. I guess you can read this if you're reading this part. Things totally do not quite happen in this part at all.
Chapter 3
Who should I talk to next? Maybe I should just go home, I'm not feeling so well again.
MC stared down at the letter as he made his way through the nether, distracted. In his haze, he bumped into someone, causing him to fall down.
“Hey, you should watch where you're going, you could get hurt,” Avidya said amicably as he extended a hand to MC.
“Oh, sorry. Distracted.” MC said as he grabbed Avidya's hand and stood up. “I know,” Avidya said dryly.
Running a hand through his hair MC licked his lips before looking at Avidya who was pondering him calmly. “Are you busy Avidya? I could use your help with something.” Avidya smiled at MC “I have some time, sure. What did you need help with?”
“Do you think we could talk somewhere private? I don't want Pause coming by and trying to steal my stuff again.” MC said, which caused Avidya to frown. “Is Team Canada picking on you, MC?” “What? No. Pause is just being Pause.” Avidya laughed, nodding at MC “Ahhh, I see. Being nosy, hm?” MC nodded slightly.
The two of them made their way to a secluded area of the nether, sitting down next to each other.
“So, what's up?” Avidya asked curiously. “I was sick the last few days. When I woke up today, I found these.” MC handed Avidya the letter and the journal. “I'm not sure who it is, I'm trying to figure it out.” “Ah, I see.” Avidya said as he turned the letter and journal over in his hands.
MC looked down at his hands, unsure what to do while Avidya looked over the letter and journal.
The faint sound of rustling pages caused MC to look over at Avidya. Avidya seemed to be smelling the journal at this point. ooookkkkk then Avidya looked over at MC, his face completely placid and serene. “You have no idea who sent this to you, you said?” MC looked at Avidya, confused. “Yeah...?”
Avidya handed the two items back to MC. “You are oblivious.” “That doesn't help at all!” MC said, shaking his head in frustration. “No, it doesn't. I think you know who sent it though. I don't think you're quite that oblivious. If you really don't know, I'll tell you in a week, hm?” Avidya said as he stood up. “But it oh come on!” MC said, sputtering incoherently. Avidya shook his head at MC as he turned away. “You have to figure it out on your own and talk to the person. Assuming that's what you want to do, of course.” Avidya hummed softly to himself as walked away, leaving MC sitting alone.
Grumbling to himself, MC stood up. Fine. I'll go ask Etho since he's the only lead I have right now
MC slowly made his way through the nether. What am I going to say? Hey Etho. I think you left these at my house. What, they aren't yours? Haha, uhm yeah, now you know I have a secret admirer, that's just peachy. Uhhh...oh wait, they are yours? I have no idea how to respond to that at all, so now I will stare at you nervously. MC could feel his face getting red as he continued towards Etho's place.
MC stood outside Etho's base, staring at the entrance. I really should have been thinking of something better to say on the way over here. MC closed his eyes and inhaled slowly, trying to figure out exactly what to do. I think I really shouldn't have gone out gallivanting so soon after being sick. I feel all woozy again. I think I'll just go home. I'll....I'll get the courage later to ask him then.
Turning around, MC found Etho standing behind him, looking at him oddly. “Oh my god hi Etho. I'm just going to sit down on the ground now, because I think you gave me a heart attack.” MC nearly fell on the ground from the sudden appearance, gasping for air.
“Are you ok? Why are you out here? Here, let's go inside,” Etho offered MC his hand, which MC took and stood up. MC was trembling slightly from the shock. Feeling a lot worse. What do I do now? “I really should get home. I don't think I'm feeling all that well.” MC said, stuttering slightly.
“You should have stayed in bed. You are still far too sick to be out wandering.” Etho said to MC, concerned.
“Oh. So you did write this letter.” MC said as he felt his knees give out from underneath himself, his vision going gray as he felt Etho grab a hold of him before he hit the ground.
