So they gather in the park, the last Friday before term starts. Some stuff is explained. This is a short one. I'd recon half the group is there, but only five people are directly mentioned.

Pak was first to the park. He always was. Nebris came running in, with an old tome,
‘I got it, I got it.’
‘Got what?’
‘Here, “Awards go to students of interdimensional schools for excelling in the qualities valued by the dimensions.” These Dimensions all have an associated colour.’ Pak watched the proud Nebris’s smile grow.
‘Well alright then. Where’d you find it?’
‘Oh, umm, uh, I didn’t acquire this from Guude’s?’
‘You should get that back before they notice’
‘I didn’t take it’
‘u-huh, Su-ure you didn’t’
Guude was the last to arrive. By this point Nebris had put the, probably half-inched, book in his bag.
‘Nebris, please tell me you took that book’
‘He did’ Pak responded, receiving a glare from Nebris.
‘My parents’ want it back, I can go past yours to pick it up?’ Nebris took the tome out of his bag,
‘I shall read it now, they can have it later. I think it can tell us what the awards where for.’ Nebris informed
‘I should take it to them now, they should still be near the park.’
‘No, we should find out what your parents were hiding about Blame, you saw how the other students and teachers where acting around him.’ Nebris trying to make it sound like he wasn’t just curious about his own trophy.
‘How could you know that book has anything to do with that?’ While Nebris rifled through the book,
‘Oh, I think he may be right. Your parents know Nebris, and they knew he was interested, they must have left it somewhere he could easily find it, Right Nebris?’ Pak reasoned
‘Uh, Sure’ Nebris briefly thought of his escapade, while Guude slept, into the locked Attic.
Nebris read the quote about the awards out, and Seth and Blame came and started trying to find some meaning in the book, and basically took it away from Nebris. Who shrugged and let them fight over it. He’d been looking through it for the past couple of nights and hadn’t found anything.
Everyone else just chatted and occasionally small groups went to the café to get food and/or drinks for the group at large. The day was randomly punctuated by things from the book.
‘This passage says something about students having to visit the other dimensions as some sort of test’
‘Each dimension has hidden Laws, which a local can never break, and foreigners will instinctively follow.’
‘The dimensions do not seem to mirror each other. But the same people appear in every dimension, though they may not have the same family, background or even morality’
Seth and Blame ended up giving up. The book was never direct about anything. It just talked in generalisations of all dimensions, never giving specifics. Never mentioning how travel was achieved, which is what Seth was most interested in.
Nebris hid the book, and headed with Guude to his parents’ car. Nebris lived 5 minute walk or 10 minute drive, from the park. Guude on the other hand lived in the middle of nowhere. Once he and Guude arrived they went upstairs to Nebris’s room. This whole thing annoyed Guude, he had pretend that Nebris hadn’t taken the book to the park. Though his Parents said nothing taking the book back.
