(General Fiction/W.I.P Pre-Alpha Stage) Yet another UHC fanfic + pitch dossier

Good lord, am I nervous.

First off, a thank you to the kind person (I won't drop names, but you know who you are) who pointed me this direction.  I am most appreciative. :D

Anyways, I come seeking consultation.  At the risk of sounding like a broken record (I reiterate this in the links below,) there's a lot of stuff I don't know, and I'd love to have a few 'experts' whom I can 'annoy' for information and assistance.  It's this particular fan community I wish to write this fanfic for, and I want to give this project due diligence.

Hm. Those are some pretty good things to work with. I'll need to drag up the Death Race Cliff's Notes for research purposes. I did have a couple scenarios with at least one traitor, or at least a character with a well-intentioned but sadly misguided motive.

A rival protectorate/server does sound plausible, but it's kind of going over my head why a member protectorate of the Vanali Federation would attack what may be the faction's flagship protectorate?

Maybe it's a protectorate that recently seceded or a protectorate of Vanali expatriates? What might be their reason for risking weakening the VPF just to take out the Mindcrack Protectorate?

And don't worry. Rambling is okay. :D

Hm. Perhaps taking out the Mindcrack Protectorate is just an early step in a larger plan. Maybe Earth is the final prize. Destabilize and then conquer Minecraftia, taking all the best knowledge and resources from both factions. The Black Armours could be a breakaway group, maybe bitter at both sides for things done in the Severence Wars, maybe corrupted by whatever strange force decimates Minecraftia at long intervals. Maybe the connection to Earth hastened it or did something otherwise strange.
