Day 8 - thejims
He was not an expert when it came to subtle emotions, but he didn’t need to be in this case.
It was blatantly obvious that the twinkle in Gennys eyes could only mean one thing: trouble.
“You see, cutting down this many threes is not good for the environment. Even if it is for a construction site, mother nature won’t be happy with her boys if we don’t treat her well. Which is why I have taken it upon myself to introduce you to the new B-Team environmental protection plan. With this plan, we will make sure that people will take their part in taking care of the land. If we find someone who is playing dirty and does not replant sapplins, we will make them pay. And this payment will be used to keep the organisation alive.”
He had been right.
“Fascinating.” He closed the door in GenerikB’s Face. “Tell me an other time, I have work to do.”
TheJims ignored Gennys protests outside. Sometimes you just had to say no.
Watching people enter and leave the Deathgames hall was interesting. Going in, they all had the same look on their face: curiosity. Coming out, they were either relieved, disappointed...or they would be wearing the Armor of Justice. Like Etho did now. TheJims waved when the other passed him and Etho waved back. The mask was hiding most of his expression but the gleam in his eyes made it clear: excitement and the will to fight and win. He glanced over to the portal. Ethos targeted had just walked through a few moments before the Creator of the Deathgames had arrived. He could pass that information on...Or he could walk trough himself, giving a warning… But this was not his fight.
TheJims stood up and left. Sometimes, you had to ignore what happens around you.
A surprised yell startled him and he turned his head in the direction it had come from. He had not expected to see someone else in the small cave he had climbed into to escape the rain. Apparently, Vechs hadn’t expected that either.
“Oh! Oh, hey. I was not expecting anyone to be here, that is a surprise!” The Mapmaker chuckled and hurried to put his goggles back on. TheJims caught a certain shimmer in his eyes before he did, realizing he had not seen the others eyes before.
“I was just hiding here, from the rain. Actually, I was looking for Fwapaderp but then the rain surprised me and I left most of my armor at home and it was dark too. Well, it still is, but it already was when I got down here.”
Again, the mapmaker chuckled, this time with his hands in his pockets.
“Fwapaderp is a big boy, he will probably find the way back before I even get a further chance to look for him. I am not sure why I even left the base in the first place.”
Vechs was a talkative person, so much was sure. He was not really in the mood for company, heavy rain always lowered his spirit. A quick sprint would bring him home, his place was not far from here.
TheJims sat down next to the one known as evil mastermind. Sometimes, a twinkle in the eyes should not be ignored.
Prompt linked to thejims: A twinkling eye can mean many things. The one twinkling at me now…
