Ah yeah, I recognize it now. I gave up on the Pause/Mhykol play through of it before they even found that enchanting table, ha. These guys are derps, but a lot better at it. Really happy to see Kurt playing with them again, and great to see Brian sort of taking control since no one else is obviously stepping up to the plate.
Maybe we can get some KGBS shippiness going, though nothing to note yet.
If you want to see this played truly masterfully, Vechs did a developer's commentary of it. There's less random experimentation and snark in it and more proper developer commentary compared to the dev commentary of Waking Up, but I still recommend it, because Vechs.
He's also as good a player as he is a mapmaker and that combination is *frightening* (and sexy).
And don't forget, the *amazing* troll cat moment near the end of the series. =D That series is worth watching to better understand Vechs as a mapmaker - the new series is much more of an LP, and while there's nothing wrong with Vechs snark, I find the discussions of his creative process to be really interesting.
I really love that developer commentary, as it was hard for me to understand his creative development process until I heard him talk about it. I only played part of one map before giving up (after I turned a corner several times and happened to run into a creeper spawner immediately each time... nope, too much of a fraidy cat for that!) but I adore watching people play through his videos. I'm quite excited to see this series, as I found Brian's videos through the fanserver's UHC and I love his style of commentating.
