Power Down Chapter 7: Bubble Boy

mindcrackloveI'm baaaaack! So, after almost every piece of technology I own failing, I'm back with a fresh mindset! So let's get this show on the road!
After a while of running, the trio and robot arrived at the tallest building and looked around. There was a small circle or road surrounding the building, and all the roads branched out from it.
"I keep thinking these lamp posts will attack us."
Paul spoke up. "So, you haven't exactly explained that. How does a lamppost attack someone, anyways?"
"By falling on you. Honestly, I'm not sure how it works either." Vechs said.
"That doesn't matter now! We need to find the person responsible for this!" Aureylian said indignantly.
"You just did."
The three whirled around to see a tall man in a giant floating bubble.
The first question that came to Vechs' mind was. "Why are you in a floating hamster ball?"
The man scowled. "This is a pod, not a hamster ball! How dare you! Minions, attack!"
Nothing happened.
"Come on, you stupid things! ATTACK!!!!"
The lamp posts finally turned their lamp head things to face them. Then, they all fell down. That was the three's cue to attack.
Aureylain struck first, spraying the lampposts with acid. Paul then stopped the remanding lampposts from moving with his lasso. The trapped lampposts were easily destroyed by Vechs.
The man in the bubble looked on in shock as his lamppost minions were destroyed. He then realized that these people could not be dealt with so easily. It was time to call in one of his most promising warriors. One that could not be defeated by conventional means.
"Lampolian! Attack them!"
The group, having met the rest of the aliens trapped in the lampposts, turned to bubble boy, (Vechs' nickname for him.) who was grinning evily. Suddenly, an enormous lamppost appeared, stomping down the street.
Bubble Boy prepared for his stereotypical evil villan speech. He cleared his throat and looked at the paper in front of him.
"This one is special! [insert evil villan creation name here] has the power to... Wait, insert name here?!" He scowled at the laughing people and robots in front of him. "Stupid internet speaches! No matter. It would take an immense amount of energy to stop him. Not to mention, he has legs! DESTROY THEM!!!!!!!"
Lampolian attacked!

The lamppost attacked first by jumping and slamming down on the ground hard near the trio. They all dived separate ways as the lamppost hit the ground hard, cracking the pavement and making the group bounce on impact. Vechs wipped out his plasma gun and fired. The shot fizzled out into nothing.
Bubble Boy laughed. "That's not going to be enough! Have to do better than that!"
Vechs wipped around and shot at him. The pod dodged the attack. Gritting his teeth, he returned to Lampolian.
Aureylain got out a vial of acid and threw it at the lamppost. The acid did nothing, instead just splashing on the ground.
Only Paul's attack had any effect. The lamppost was pulled into a stationary position by Paul's lasso. It struggled quite a bit, but the lasso was made out of some incredibly strong material.
One of the aliens was pointing to Vechs' gun and saying something.
"You're on fire? Fire you... Oh!! I get it!" The alien spun up into a ball and became engulfed in a white energy. Vechs fired the alien at Lampolian. The result was an explosion that blew Lampolian backwards into a building, part of which promptly collapsed on it.
Bubble Boy's mouth flew open in shock and horror. Vechs quickly turned around and pointed the gun at Bubble boy. He regained his composure.
"This isn't the last you'll see of me! I'll... I'll build a new robot! With super lazer eyes! And... And it will feed me cheese!" He turned and began flying away. "Evil cheese..."
After he had flown away, the three turned to each other and laughed. "He was weird." Aureylian remarked.
Vechs studied Yapper. "These things hold an incredible amount of energy! If we could take one home, we would have enough energy for decades!"
Aureylain frowned. "Yes, but the energy is tied to their life source, remember? We can't suck the life out of them."
Vechs sighed. "You're right. We'll have to find something else."
"Let's do that!" Paul said. "After all, we need to find that guy."
"Let's do it!"
So the three, with their new alien friends in tow, ran off in the direction of the evil Bubble Boy.
And that's that! So, there aren't many chapters left! After that I'm going to start on another project that's a secret... Shhhhh. Anyways , see you next time!
