College Is Magic Chapter 4: Clash Of Teams

Chapter 4 is here! This is a little shorter than the others, mainly because it's what I left off last chapter. I hope you enjoy it all the same!


Tom caught up with Team Young as they walked out of class. He had listened as he heard the two teams bantering as they grabbed their stuff and headed out of the classroom. He had made up his mind to join a team. Jack was nice company, but needed some fun and craziness in his life. And Team Young seemed like they could provide just that. "Hey guys! Could I join Team Young?"

Purple stopped and turned. "Oh hi, didn't see you there. It's Tom, right?" The rest of the group stopped as well.

Tom shifted uncomfortably as he felt everyone's gaze fall on him. "Uh, yeah. I'm Tom."

Purple smiled. "Well I don't see why you can't join. Let me just check with these guys first. Ok?"

"Sure."

Purple dragged Hawser, Dark, and Tsu into a huddle. Hawser looked confused. "Aren't we missing somebody?"

Dark disappeared for a moment and reappeared with Sis. "She'd wandered off to go and talk to the animals again."

Sis grinned. "What's up guys! Why the team meeting?"

Hawser gestured behind her. "Tom here wants to join Team Young. We're all ok with that aren't we?"

They all nodded and broke the huddle. Purple turned to Tom. "Tom."

He looked worried. Purple's voice sounded quite serious. And when he thought about it, the other's expressions were quite serious as well. "Yeah?"

Purple smiled. "You're in!"

Tom fist-pumped. "Awesome!"

Hawser grinned. "But Tom, there is one condition..."

Tom stopped performing his victory dance. "What is it?"

"You come with us to prank Team Munchkin tonight."

Tom looked confused. "Why would you want to prank Team Munchkin?"

"Why wouldn't we prank Team Munchkin?"

"I... Uh..."

"Some of those reasons being...Because we can, we are bored, it's another team, we are bored, annnnnnnnnnnnd we have to prove how awesome we are."

"Okay. What should I bring with me?"

"Do you have a water pistol?"

"Yeah, I brought one with me to practise my magics with."

"Perfect. Bring that with you. And any balloons if you've got them." She paused and glanced at Purple. "I didn't miss anything did I?"

Purple frowned. "Hmm... Yeah you did, squirty cream!"

Hawser looked confused. "Why would we need squirty cream?"

Purple winked. "It's a secret!"

"Okay.... You got all that?"

Tom nodded.

"Good. See ya there!" Sis raced towards the nearest door, Dark and Tsu started throwing things at each over, and Purple and Hawser started arguing over technological things. Tom sighed. He was looking forward to being part of this team. He turned and walked outside.

----Meanwhile----

Etho sat in his dorm thinking over what Purple had said to him before class. He really couldn't work out what he'd done wrong. She just seemed to be really mad at him for no reason. He remembered the way the hurt had filled her voice, and how those brown eyes were full of sadness. He shook his head. He would ask her later.

----That evening----

Tom tiptoed his way across the gardens, trying not to make a sound. Suddenly, an invisible force yanked him backwards. He fought the urge to yell, knowing that it was probably Dark or Tsu. So he let himself be dragged through the bushes and up a particularly tall tree. He was set down gently onto a branch. He turned and saw Team Young grinning at him. "Was is it really necessary to drag up a tree?"

Dark nodded enthusiastically. "Yep!

Tom rolled his eyes. "So, why are we in a tree?"

Purple answered this time. "Cause it's out of the way. And who doesn't want to sit in a tree?"

Tom laughed. "Ok, so when do we get started?"

Hawser pulled out a rucksack from behind a branch. She opened it and invited Tom to look inside. He leaned over and peered inside. It was full of water pistols and balloons. She grinned. "Now."

----A quick run to Team Munchkin's room later----

Hawser tried the handle. "Damn! They've locked it!"

Tsu stepped forwards. "Not for long!" She used her magics to pick the lock. The lock clicked open and Sis opened the door. "Telekinesis is very handy you know."

Sis walked inside, followed eagerly by Purple. "Yeah it is! How else would we have gotten in otherwise?"

Hawser walked in. "Ok guys, remember the plan." They all nodded. She thought for a moment. "Actually, screw the plan. Just go wild!" The group cheered and grabbed whatever they could out of the rucksack.

Purple ran over to what seemed to be Squid's bed. She carefully used the squirty cream to write her initials, along with Etho's. The result look something like this:

She grinned, if that didn't make Squid mad, nothing ever would.

Hawser had grabbed a handful of balloons and was filling them at the sink. She turned and passed them to Sis, who used her magics to tell the birds where to balance them. Every door, bookshelf, cupboard, nothing was spared.

Tsu and Dark were actually working together for once. Hawser had assembled a camera that was connected to Dark's water pistol. Tsu manned the camera while Dark kept watch outside.

After finishing with the balloons, Hawser used her magics to cast a jamming spell on Team Munchkin's phones. Now, until the spell was lifted, they wouldn't be able to get a signal anywhere.

Tom soaked all the clothes the team had lying around, and then he covered them in squirty cream. Stepping back, he grinned. He'd arranged the clothes so they spelt out Tom.

Hawser called everyone in to the centre of the room. "Right, all done?" They all nodded. "Well let's get the hell outta here before they come back!" They turned and ran out of door, towards their own dorms.

----A little while later----

Mew yawned and unlocked the door to the room she shared with Team Munchkin. Squid and Curly were waiting behind her. Squid yawned. "Come on Mew, I want to go to bed!"

"Ok, just two seconds..." The key turned and Mew peered around the side of the door. She gasped.

Curly stepped forwards and tried to see over her shoulder. "What is it?"

"You guys might want to see this..."
