Oh, wow, that's awesome. I know people would normally attribute Mama to Southerners (of America, anyway), but I couldn't see Zisteau using Mama, so Mam it was.
Not useless info, this actually lends a different feel to the story now for me. Now I'm getting an Irish town stuck in my head as a setting instead! I like studying regional differences in culture and linguistics has been a strong interest for me in the last year. I didn't realize the Irish preferred "Mam." Thanks. :)
