Fic: Inappropriate Fantasy
It's not really that inappropriate... Just... a little bit. Thank yous very muchly to anonymousrose for this. We are a great team when it comes to looking after little plot bunnies and helping them become big and strong.
Storming down the corridor with his eyes closed in frustration, Beef held his head high in the air indignantly as he ignored the yells of the boy behind him.
“I’m sorry, Beef! Please just talk to me!” Pause chased after his now ex-boyfriend.
“No! I don’t want to.” Beef retorted, still trying to escape the boy. He was halted as he walked straight into a body and was knocked back a little, while the body he walked into hit the floor.
A small pained noise come from the floor as Beef noticed who he’d knocked over. “Oh, I’m so sorry Kurt! I didn’t see you there!” He offered a hand to the lanky boy who graciously took it. His hand was soft, nothing like what Beef had expected. In fact, he almost made Kurt drop to the floor again as he went to pull his hand away to cover his face, which has suddenly erupted into a pink blush that refused to leave his cheeks.
His mood was soon spoiled as Pause’s hand rested on his shoulder. “Please Beef, please… I’m sorry.”
“You always say that yet you never seem to mean it!” Beef didn’t mean to shout as he spun to face the worn out boy, but he couldn’t help it. After realising his mistake, he turned away again and went to apologise to an awkward looking Kurt.
When he looked back at Kurt, he saw he was busy talking to Zisteau so Beef decided to wait to apologise. While waiting, he raked his eyes down the tall boy’s body several times. He then thought back to the times when they’d played the F1 racing game together.
Sat in Beef’s dorm room – when Pause was too busy with his other ‘friends’ – with each of them using different controls to see who was better. One time, he’d joked about imagining Kurt in only a helmet after they’d gotten some new skins for their characters. The memory sparked his imagination and what was produced was… interesting.
Beef’s eyes glazed over, yet he didn’t realise he was still staring at Kurt. Once the boy in question had finished talking to Zisteau, he noticed that Beef was staring at him. Kurt tried to ‘wake’ the boy, but it was almost impossible. “H-Hey Pause…”
Pause was moping just around the corner, barely in view. “Hmm?”
“Does Beef just… begin to daydream often?”
Pause came around the corner, looking concerned, “No. Why?” He stood next to Kurt and looked at Beef’s glazed eyes, “He usually only looks like this when he sees something he likes, and I mean likes.”
Kurt stood to his full height, tenses and takes a step back with wide eyes all within a second. His hand quickly reached up to his mouth and his face reddened. Zisteau, who was half-paying attention to the situation until now, took Kurt’s spot in front of Beef when he heard what Pause had said.
It was almost as if their reactions were planned and co-ordinated beforehand.
“What did you say?” Zisteau began to sound protective. Pause didn’t repeat anything, in case he was to cause any harm to Beef. However, his plan didn’t work. Zisteau’s hands shot out and grabbed Beef, shaking him to get him out of his dream before slamming him against the wall.
In contrast to the pained noise Kurt had made earlier, Beef’s was louder and more of a yelp. His eyes were as wide as Kurt’s when he was rudely brought out of his fantasy only to be greeted with a close of up Kurt’s overly protective boyfriend’s face. ‘Uh oh… I should have remembered that…’ In his shock, he didn’t realise he was practically being choked.
Everyone in the corridor was silent for a moment, as the situation settled in everyone’s minds. It wasn’t until Beef began to squirm and make more noises as he began to choke from the lack of oxygen. The first to react was Kurt.
“Um… Zisteau…” His hand lightly rested on the boy’s shoulder, “I think you should let him go now.”
Pause wasn’t close behind, “If you hold him there much longer, he’s gonna die!” Again, there was a contrast with the way this was handled by the two of them. Pause attempted to pull Zisteau away.
It took a second but Zisteau did let Beef go. He turned and stood near to Kurt, protectively. Pause knelt down to see if Beef – who’d slid down to the floor – was alright.
There was a whispered conversation between the two that neither Kurt nor Zisteau were able to hear. It must have made up for something as there was a seemingly random kiss between them.
“So… everything’s good again?” Kurt questioned, turning to look at Zisteau with a slightly confused and innocent face. This made Zisteau smile and place a light kiss on Kurt’s cheek.
“Yeah, I think so. Looks like these two are back together again.” They both returned their gaze to the pair who were now walking back down the corridor in the opposite direction hand in hand.
“But… isn’t this like the sixth time this year?”
Zisteau laughed at this observation and slowly interlinked fingers with the boy at his side, “Let’s just hope it’s the last time and hope we don’t end up like them, hmm?” Kurt made a noise of agreement before beginning to drag Zisteau down the corridor with him.
“C’mon, I didn’t get to show you that display yet!”
This is only a pit-stop from the Library story, I promise. I just couldn't let this plot bunny rest, it was jumping EVERYWHERE! Anyway, just one more ficlet to add to the School AU bucket :3
