Vechs Hunters Chapter 3 (Future/time travel AU)

Summary: Goofy Professor Pause and Ninja Assistant Etho attempt to create a superhuman Vechs, but when things go wrong, they travel through time and seek the help of others in order to hunt Vechs down.

CHAPTER 3

“Get to work then! I have located the universe which Vechs is in. In that Universe the year is currently 2014. I do know the details on what kind weather that place has or whether humans even exist. What I don’t know is why Vechs would want to travel almost 2000 back?  “ said Pause rather in an annoyed tone.

“Oh and about the weather, Vechs traveled to some tropical country which has regular downpours and a sweltering temperature of average 31 degrees celsius all year round.”

“You should have thought twice before melting down the blasted Time-Portal”, Etho said mockingly as he changed the subject. A small jet from The Pause's flamethrower shut him up.

Etho immediately grabbed his screwdriver and got to work.

The Time-Portal was a machine they had built long time ago, it was Pause’s idea. He built it with one goal in mind, to go to various alternate universes to collect as many Sunglasses as possible. However, it’s became abandoned as the last time Pause used it, he accidentally released a Dinosaur into the  neighbourhood.

A mere 5 days later, the Time-Portal was fixed. During the 5 days, while Etho was busy fixing the machine, Pause was also busy building the weapons which they would need to defeat Vechs. He prepared several ancient weapons like battle axes and machetes as the only way they would be able to kill Vechs was by hacking his head off violently.

Before long, they were off.

They arrived at a hotel room in a large and luxurious hotel. There was a cleaner in the room unfortunately and their arrival caused lots of chaos. There was a blinding flash of light, followed by a shriek. A few seconds later, Etho and Pause were running down the hallway, dripping wet with a diluted soap solution.

The duo ran into a toilet and locked the door with their auto-lock key. They quickly opened up the two slim suitcases that they had brought with them. Both of them quickly had fake passports and documents printed and took up fake identities. They changed their coats for smart business suits. Professor used his GPS and found out they were on a small developed Asian country in South-East Asia.

They went down to the lobby and quickly booked a suite on the highest floor for an unlimited period of time, until they felt like leaving the place. Obviously, they had printed just a few thousand dollars back in the toilet.

They went into their room, made sure that the door was locked, and that there was a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign, so that people would not disturb them (of course you know what it means, it’s just there for dummies). Afterwards, they quickly got to business and transformed the suite into their base for the upcoming months.

There were machines of all types and weapons that could deal lots of destruction. Which included tanks folded into chips, as well as Pause’s very own creation, the Sunglasses Mobile. They had all the tools needed to defeat and capture Vechs. Last of all, they had removed the section of glass outlooking the city. It could act as a place for sniping Vechs from a safe distance and also quick escape route if Vechs were to attack them. They installed a fooling device that would fool all mortals, the room would appear to look normal and the mortals would be unable to touch or even notice the machinery in the room.

“Time to relax,” said The Pause as he slipped into the giant Jacuzzi in their suite.

Pause woke up to the loud talking of voices. He jumped out of the Jacuzzi, and whipped out the plasma gun. He sneaked around the doorway only to see Etho watching the News.

“You scared me you know!” Pause exclaimed after thinking that they were under attack. Etho merely scoffed and continued to watch the television. “We have to know how people of this time act, so we don’t go around acting like weirdos. “ Etho pointed at the television.

“We need someone as  a recruit to help us stop Vechs, the two of us alone aren’t going to be able to stop Vechs. Vechs could probably solve a Quadratic Equation in 1 second you know. He’s so damn smart.” Pause said, rubbing his chin wisely.

“How are we going to know who to trust and where to find them?” Etho asked.

“Vechs has probably predicted that we would be here, I think it he might be on to us, let’s just worry about drawing Vechs’ attention away from us first. “ Pause said as he let out an exasperated sigh.

“Fine, we also need to get our bearings of this place I suggest we walk around this city, who knows maybe we will find our recruit.” Etho pointed out.

“We leave tomorrow, AFTER I have the continental breakfast, I also need to check out the sunglasses store, I want some 2014 sunglasses to add to my collection at home!” Pause sounded more excited about the breakfast and sunglasses than the difficult task which they would face.

------------------------------------------THE NEXT MORNING-------------------------------------------

“ Wake up! Wake up! The breakfast is about to end! Better not let the other people grab my sunglasses!” Pause was on the verge of screaming as he tried to wake Etho up.

“ What do you want to get? “ Pause hovered over Etho constantly asking questions.

“ I don’t know… Just some… “ Etho was cut off by the Pause’s scream.

“ There’s french toast! “

Etho slapped his forehead as the Pause rushed off taking out the people in front of him in the queue using his teleporter.  Soon, the Pause’s plate was stacked. However, he did not stop there. He followed up with 5 more plates. Their contents ranging from cereal to sausages. His speed was exceptionally fast. He did this in less than 5 minutes.

Etho , on the other hand, only managed to grab a less-than-half-full plate only in 7 minutes. Reaching the table which the Pause was gobbling away, Etho sat down.

“ What about the sungla.. “  Etho was cut off by Pause rushing off from the dining area, into the shop section. Etho again face palmed himself and ate his food slowly.

Just after Etho’s meal. A commotion was noticed in the direction of the shops. Etho rushed there, noticing an angry Pause shouting at an innocent shop owner.
