Having heard all of it now, I don't think we need to. They largely find it funny, Baj is 'well that's weird, but whatever you like', and one of the Shaft guys was rather knowledgable about fanfiction and helped supply some very reasonable discussion. Also apparently Andrea ships Supernatural. :D

I was glad to hear all that. I think it was just because the whole topic was so joke-y and there wasn't really a direct answer (except from Baj, but that's to be expected) is what got me going...

I don't think there really is a direct answer for 'why we ship' other than we enjoy it. :p

Baj seemed a bit bemused but still found it funny. They did mention the Baj/Pyro fic. However there was no 'ew, icky' response. Just a lot of smusement but not in a mean way. The Shaft guy seemed to particularly understand that it comes from a place of affection.

Also there are other sites out there!

They did make that mention of the Beef/Pause fic (of which they got the plot wrong, btw) which they all seemed confused about...
Well... Pause's reaction was a little like 'dafaq?! nuuu!' but everyone else found it funny, especially the Shaft guys... Dat laughter...

Haha xD When the question was being read, I was bracing for a storm of anger and disgust... I think that's why I was stressed, I was just expecting so much hate for it :/

Exactly what I was thinking.. It's hard to describe it huh? But yeah he's kinda the most who seems to accept it, I had wondered if he had maybe done fics himself but if Andrea does them and he knows that's probably why....

I'm hoping. So far two people asked for the link with smiley faces so they seems intrested.. Wether or not they stay its a guess

Looks like its mostly curious people for now. Let's hope that no one gets antsy now that it's been addressed.

Who knows, this could turn out well for us. Now that the guys have expressed neutrality and said that they do not disapprove of it people will be less willing to be all "this is creepy..." on us. We shall see.

In any case, Reddit if you bother to read this, we are a peaceful people. Leave us be and we shall be content.

Thanks so much. OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING. The hysterical laughter right after it's mentioned. The confirmation that Guude knows about this site (at least, I'm pretty sure they're talking about us. I don't know of any other sites dedicated to Mindcrack fanfic). THEY MENTIONED THE GUUDE/PAUSE FIC. AND THEY DON'T MIND IT. EVERYTHING IS GOING ACCORDING TO PLAN.

And Pause mentioned some fic about him and Beef that didn't sound familiar at all. Where does he keep finding these fics that I don't know about?!

I assumed they were referring to the damnreddit fics, since that seems like the most likely thing. The whole situation with those fics being posted on Ms. Mod's personal journal before this community was here makes things confusing, so that's probably why it sounds confusing when Guude tried to explain it.

I been browsing the site for a while actually, at least 6 months. I dunno what you guys are so fearful/worried about. This subcommunity isn't much different than the subreddit if you ask me.

Well. Fandom in general and fanfiction in particular still gets a massive negative reaction in some places. And some of us feel vaguely guilty because we're that much closer to you guys than, for example, fans of a tv show. Also some people don't like to be talked about in very personal terms, or at least would prefer not to know if it's going on. And sometimes writing is dealing with our own feelings too, and not always happy ones, which makes it personal to the author. Large reasons most of us are anons and sockpuppets.

I always knew it was only a matter of time before another one of you popped up. I got over most of my flailiness of the possibility of you guys lurking after MC said hi back in October, but there was always that uncertainty that not everyone would be as cool with it as you or him are. I'm just glad it's out in the open now, honestly.

I was actually worried most about Beef seeing my fic with the whole Anna thingamajiger.... Cause that would be awkward, seeing I based Anna off my best friend who is a huge Vintagebeef fan. But I guess... this is okay? I'm still a little shocked. HI GUUDE! Okay, I'll stop being an annoying fan now.

I did forget to say though, the podcast was great. It was a little awkward sounding, and that almost makes me feel bad for putting the Mindcrackers in such a position. We (and by that I mean 'we' as a fan community) never meant to cause a stir.

Hey Guude. I guess I shouldn't be surprised to see you here and yet I am. I can also hardly believe that this comm has been around six months let alone that you've been lurking that long. Hope you've enjoyed some of the discussion/speculation or at least gotten a few laughs. Thanks for being so awesome about all of this, and I hope we've never done anything to offend you.

Thanks for being here, and reassuring us you're okay with the content here. Those two things are the most important parts. We're fans as much as anyone and we don't want you to hate us, but at the same time we have thoughts that others would call odd, so we tend to stay in hiding.

...I'm probably less surprised by this than I should be. I know if I were even mildly famous I'd be lurking around my own fandom, so this just makes sense. Everyone knows the shippers have the best gossip and smack talk after all. ;)
