So this is horrendously late and for that I'd like to apologize- between irl stuff, being sick, and Fated, getting time/energy to write this thing has been difficult, but here it is.
I got koijuly, and the prompt was "Several members of mindcrack are abducted and have to fight to take control of the ship to return home"

So, here we go. 1.3k words with a really terrible name.

Nebris' eyes blinked open to unfamiliar surroundings. He sat up, rubbing his head. It was spinning and he had a vague memory of some kind of odd green and red lights, but it was only brief flashes that didn't really make any sense. He glanced around, hoping for answers, but not finding any. He appeared to be in a small metal room that was completely empty except for Nebris himself. He stumbled to his feet and moved over to the only wall that wasn't smooth metal. He peered out the 'window' that appeared to be made of some kind of solid green energy that was hot to the touch.

He couldn't really see anything in the hallway outside of the room, but he was fairly certain that there was another room similar to his across from him. If only he could get out of this place...

Nebris punched the 'window' experimentally, yelping as it delivered not only the heat of the substance but also an electrical shock. He stumbled back and shook his hand, frowning.

Okay. So that's not going to work.

He began investigating the other walls, eventually finding one that had cracks in it as if to indicate a doorway. No matter what he did, however, he couldn't seem to get it open. He growled low in his throat and just began to pace back and forth. Whatever was going on, he wasn't too pleased about it.

If this is Etho's doing, I'm going to put him in a cage over lava and leave him there for a week.

Nebris wasn't sure how long he was pacing, but eventually the crack that indicated a door glowed faintly and the panel slid into the floor, revealing a familiar figure.

"Etho! This isn't fucking funny!" Before Nebris could continue, his friend darted forward and slapped a hand over his mouth.

"You think I'm responsible for this? We're in space, Nebris! We've quite literally been abducted by aliens and I've been trying to find everyone for about an hour now. There's five of us, from what I can tell."

"How did you get out?" Nebris demanded after tearing Etho's hand away from his face.

"One of them came to do something to me and I knocked it out. Or it's dead. We're going to assume it's unconscious. It doesn't seem to be breathing but that might just be an alien thing."

"Okay, so, what now?"

Etho shrugged. "I'll take you back to the others. Come on." Nebris reluctantly followed his nemesis out of the room and down the hallway, noting that the cell across from him was open as well. Etho took him down a flight of very tall stairs and into a larger room. As they approached, the three Mindcrackers within- Pyro, MC, and Millbee- looked up and tensed, but relaxed once they realized who it was.

"That's all of us, then." MC nodded slightly to himself. He seemed to be the most disoriented of the lot, as if the thought of aliens showing up had been very low on his list of 'ridiculous things that might happen.'

Nebris, however, was ready to believe just about anything, and the presence of two odd-looking creatures knocked out in the corner were enough to dispel any lingering doubts that this was a prank of some type.

The creatures were about four and a half feet tall, with three legs ending in clawed feet. They had short arms with four long, clawed fingers, and two stalk eyes on top of their heads. Their jaws were slightly agape, revealing sharp teeth and a tongue also covered in teeth.

"Okay. Color me convinced." Nebris mumbled.

"This is so ridiculous." Pyro complained. "I thought that alien abduction would be a lot cooler."

"The hell were you expecting?" Millbee demanded. "Plasma weapons?"

"Well, yeah."

"Can we please focus on getting home?" MC asked, frowning slightly. "We can argue over coolness once we're back on Earth."

"Right. We'll need to find some kind of control center and learn how to fly a spaceship. Easy, right?" Nebris raised an eyebrow.

"This is gonna be great!" Pyro said, grinning and racing down the hallway.

Etho sighed quietly. "This is going to be terrible."

"Cheer up. At least Vechs isn't here." Nebris reasoned.

"Don't make me consider having to deal with Vechs trying to fly a spaceship. I'm nauseated as-is." Millbee muttered, following Pyro down the hallway. The others weren't far behind.

They heard Pyro shout from down the hall and Nebris redoubled his speed, finding one of the aliens charging at Pyro with its claws extended as the man ran down the hallway. Nebris reached for his sword before realizing that they must have taken it from him. In his moment of hesitation, Etho appeared beside him and slammed his fist into the alien's face. The creature stumbled but another hit knocked it out cold.

"You MIGHT have killed it." MC muttered, looking at the odd blue blood leaking from where the creature's head had hit the floor.

"Woops." Etho shrugged and continued down the hall, pausing at finding a shut door with some kind of terminal. He grumbled quietly to himself and started to type into it, struggling to find the command to open the door. Nebris couldn't read or really recognize anything familiar about the alien script, but Etho seemed somewhat familiar with it, as the door soon slid open.

Five aliens looked up from their stations and roared in fury, four of them charging. Considering how easy they were to knock out (and also considering how small they were in comparison to the Mindcrackers) it wasn't really a threat, and soon they were all passed out on the floor. The fifth one came at them as well, this one protected by some kind of metal armor, but once again its head was exposed and an easy target.

"Geez. If I'd known aliens were so weak, I wouldn't have worried about them so much." With that, Millbee made his way over to a terminal and looked at it for a few seconds before looking back at Etho. "I have no idea how to use this."

"None of us do. Try to figure out what it does." Etho moved up to where what he presumed the captain had sat and began to fiddle with a terminal. "Everyone try to get these things to work. I think I've got most of the flight controls over here, as I can see space around us..." He trailed off into inaudible mumbles.

Nebris sat in one of the odd seats that the aliens had and started pressing random buttons on the terminal. It was probably a terrible idea, but it was really the best one he had. He yelped as some kind of pulsing noise emanated from his terminal, followed by a click, another window opened up on his screen. It appeared to be some kind of video feed of...another ship? He leaned closer to try and look at it better before his vision was obscured by a face. He yelled again and heard laughter coming from the speakers.

The other Mindcrackers in the room turned around to look at Nebris' screen at the sound of the familiar laugh.

"You guys, too?" Vechs asked.

"Yeah! Are you in another ship?"

"Yep. I've got Blame, Aurey, Paul, and Seth with me. We're trying to figure out how to fly this thing. Who's over there?"

"Millbee, MC, Pyro, and Etho. Are there any more ships?"

"No, there's only the two from what Seth can tell. He's trying to figure out how to get this thing working but I really want to fly it."

"Please don't." Nebris could hear Blame's voice say from somewhere out of sight. Vechs only answered with laughter.

"From what we can tell, the weird green lever is thrust- the more you push it forward, the faster you go. No idea how to steer though."

Nebris was about to respond when the ship shook and spun, followed by a "Sorry!" from Etho.

"I think he figured it out."

Between the two teams, Nebris was pretty confident they'd get home, somehow.

The real struggle would be making their friends believe them when they got back home.
